The nexus might be because past legislation depopulated some California prisons, eased parole conditions and lowered the amount of time served for non-violent offenders jailed for parole violations.
Could it also be that criminals think the valley is a good place to commit crimes and easily flee back home?

Turning the criminals out of prison is a typical communist ploy. I can remember when Castro emptied his prisons and put the inmates on the Mariel Boatlift to Miami.

Las Vegas isn’t the only part of Nevada having problems with ‘criminal transfers’ out of California.
I live in N Nevada, and the crime here has EXPLODED in the past 10 years.
