Texas State Board of Education votes to erase Hillary Clinton from history curriculum

The State Board of Education in Texas voted on Friday to eliminate several historical figures, including Hillary Clinton and Helen Keller, from the state’s social studies curriculum.

Barbara Cargill, a Texas Republican and member of the board, told The Dallas Morning News that "the recommendation to eliminate Helen Keller and Hillary Clinton was made by [Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills] work groups.”

“However the board did vote to agree with the work groups' recommendations,” Cargill pointed out. "In speaking to teachers and testifiers, they did not mention these specific deletions."

This is wrong: they need to highlight the corrupt dealings of the Clintons.

From her and Bill’s shenanigans in the 70s to Clinton Cash should be in the curriculum.

Same with LBJ’s corruption.

The modern Democrats need to be exposed.

Aside: I’m starting to wonder that even though everyone presumed Hillary would win that Scalia’s murder may not have been an effort to get insurance on the composition of the Court unless she didn’t.

Censorship?

Other than Clinton being the first woman at the top of a major party ticket... nothing else she has done is worthy of note in a HS class.

Can you name any other Secretary of State that you would have learned about in HS? Or a senator of not much note ?

Nope.

Preach.

But for the left’s TORRID HATRED of the war in Vietnam the whole “Watergate” episode may well have been regarded as merely an ill-advised frat boy prank. But, instead, it presented the PERFECT opportunity to shut down out involvement by backdoor means. With Nixon’s resignation, any glimmer of hope for South Vietnam was extinguished, and the leftist death cult ate their ghoulish fill.

During my high school years in Texas, the civics course required a study of Communism. This may well have been a school district requirement rather than a state requirement but it was a worthwhile experience to learn what the movement was about. John Lennon’s song, “Imagine” sums it up very well.

Later, Don McLean’s lyric referring to “Lennon read a book on Marx” indicated that the “Imagine” lyrics were perceived by others as full blown Marxism.

Helen Keller was born with normal sight and hearing, but lost those senses as a result of an infection. She had actually learned a few words before she became sick. When Anne Sullivan came to teach Helen, she still remembered the word “water,” which she said as “wah-wah.”

I adored Helen Keller when I was young.

Some people here say that she was a raving socialist. I won’t hold that against her; in her situation, she would have known only what her handlers wanted her to know. On top of that, the true horrors of socialism were not revealed at the time of her birth.

She was surprising left-wing -- and for some time. Also surprising friendly to the Soviet Union.

Her generation, though, didn't know about the failures of socialism. They thought they saw the failures of capitalism in WWI and the Great Depression and reacted against them.

I do notice that she met every president from Grover Cleveland to Lyndon Johnson, so they must not have held her ideas too much against her.

Highly doubtful. Lennon's 'Imagine' was released in October of 1971. "American Pie" by Don McLean was released the following month.

Helen Keller didn’t hear of this and couldn’t see it coming...

Was it Anne Sullivan or someone else who fed her that nonsense?

Shrillery is not historically important, but Helen Keller is part of American lore.

Seriously? What is historical about HilLARY?

Think of the millions-perhaps billions of dollars that she has effectively scammed from US taxpayers, donors, and world government leaders.

Think about all of her lies, deceit and transgressions against individuals that have allowed her to assume power with complete impunity from the arm of the law.

She’s truly amazing as a female historical figure.

Can you name another who has accumulated so much non-inherited wealth power and prestige as a con-woman?

"What is historical about Hillary?"

You mean what's historical in a positive way, or just historical, period?

One could say that being the biggest crook and criminal this country has ever seen - i.e. Benghazi, U1 - biggest crook, criminal, demagogue and traitor in American history EVER - hold her up in front of those kids in all her filth and ugliness, and say "don't let this happen again."

Ted Kennedy is the one behind “Borking”
He colluded with the Russians and MSM to try to influence the 1984 presidential election.
He became the namesake of what we know as Obamacare (recall when he died they said call it Kennedycare).
He’s also the scumbag who wanted the inheritance tax and shielded his own family’s ill gotten wealth.

Oh, I think she (Helen Keller) had a great spirit. My point about her not being aborted was due to her being female. And, after getting sick, and the resultant deafness and blindness, it’s highly possible China would have euthanized her for her “own good”.

My point is, under socialism, and communism, she’d likely not have lived long enough to be an inspiration to anyone.
