Congratulations to Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett, I guess.
No, no, wait. The offense alleged here is serious, much more than Kavanaugh and a pal locking a female classmate in a room or whatever, as was claimed yesterday. And Farrows track record (he co-wrote the piece with Obama apologist Jane Mayer) will lend it a patina of credibility to readers.
But the evidence is thin as can be.
The woman, who has asked not to be identified, first approached Democratic lawmakers in July, shortly after Trump nominated Kavanaugh. The allegation dates back to the early nineteen-eighties, when Kavanaugh was a high-school student at Georgetown Preparatory School, in Bethesda, Maryland, and the woman attended a nearby high school. In the letter, the woman alleged that, during an encounter at a party, Kavanaugh held her down, and that he attempted to force himself on her. She claimed in the letter that Kavanaugh and a classmate of his, both of whom had been drinking, turned up music that was playing in the room to conceal the sound of her protests, and that Kavanaugh covered her mouth with his hand. She was able to free herself. Although the alleged incident took place decades ago and the three individuals involved were minors, the woman said that the memory had been a source of ongoing distress for her, and that she had sought psychological treatment as a result.
In a statement, Kavanaugh said, I categorically and unequivocally deny this allegation. I did not do this back in high school or at any time.
Kavanaughs classmate said of the womans allegation, I have no recollection of that.
Hes not the only classmate who has no recollection of it

Heh.. Unfortunately, no matter what we do or say they will not stop.. They are possessed.
Alleged rape.
Its the seriousness of the charge that matters.
Whether Kavanaugh actually did it or not is beside the point.
This is the extent they go to to keep him off the Supreme Court and to destroy his reputation while doing it.
Its the Swamp, folks.
You made my point. The press brought up the ludicrous charges and forced him to have to defend himself against 30 year old allegations and all you can say is he didn’t provide a good defense. Your should really think about that. Let me make a rediculous charge against you and see how well you defend yourself. Likewise I said, the strategy worked perfectly. I said then you would see this again aNd again.

For Democrats, the politics of personal destruction aint nothing new.
As long as it works, they will keep on using it.
Until she names herself this is fiction.
.
Kinda like an "anonymous" OP-ED.
Exactly-——and she would have to name BOTH of the young men.
.
My guess, she's a Left-Wing activist, so in a word: POLITICS
it’s also possible given the time, that the “boys” were kidding around with a female who perhaps couldn’t tell they were joking. I mean, let’s be honest... two guys assaulting a girl and she gets away? Doesn’t seem that plausible.
Back in the 80’s and 90’s people still told rapey jokes.. I guess Bill changed all that.
This is a big nothing...
Exactly right, they sure were. Looks to me like FR is rotten with Demonrat infiltrators, and their NeverTrump enablers.
Can we complain that we feel Ronan Farrow is trying force his BS liberal reporting in order to rape truth?
>>>You made my point<<<
No, I didn’t.
>>>The press brought up the ludicrous charges and forced him to have to defend himself against 30 year old allegations and all you can say is he didnt provide a good defense<<<
I never said that. I indicated that when he had the chance to repudiate (not defend himself against) the allegations against him in his Hannity Interview, he choked.
>>>Your should really think about that. Let me make a rediculous charge against you and see how well you defend yourself. Likewise I said, the strategy worked perfectly. I said then you would see this again aNd again<<<
Make a ridiculous charge against me and I will sue you for Slander. I have already said that I thought the Waitress / Yearbook stuff was ridiculous. It obviously contributed to Moore losing, but his entire Campaign was a train wreck from the get go. He dropped the ball, allegations or no allegations.
If you think that Moore was a great Candidate and he shares no blame for his terrible Campaign and his losing, go for it. I really don’t care. It’s water under the bridge.
This has nothing to do with the Kavanaugh situation. He is not running for Elective Office. He is dealing with the same Democrat BS that Justice Thomas went through.
I was waiting for Ronan Farrow to have his “Dad” take a Paternity Test, but they would have to dig up the Body.
I indicated that when he had the chance to repudiate (not defend himself against) the allegations against him in his Hannity Interview, he choked.
He should not have had to defend himself. If he were a democrat the accusations would never have seen the light of day.
This has nothing to do with the Kavanaugh situation.
It has everything to do with the Kavanaugh nomination. The dems are attempting a strategy that worked perfectly in the past, thanks to weak kneed Republicans, and they wii continue to use it as long as it works. Sorry, but people like you gave them their first scalp. They will keep looking for more.
I didnt give them anything.
First of all, I dont live in Alabama. Secondly, when Moore first appeared on the scene he sounded like the kind of guy that could replace Sessions and carry on his conservative agenda. I was all for the guy, so dont try to use me as a Scapegoat for his dismal Campaign.
He turned out to be a lousy Candidate, period. The accusations just made his task more difficult and he wasnt up to the fight. That being said, IF I lived in Alabama he would have gotten my Vote.
Like I said, water under the bridge, work on getting rid of the guy who won the Seat and get a good Candidate to take it back from the Rsts.
Wikipedia: Ronan Farrow
In 2009, Farrow joined the Obama administration as Special Adviser for Humanitarian and NGO Affairs in the Office of the Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan. He was part of a team of officials recruited by the diplomat Richard Holbrooke, for whom Farrow had previously worked as a speechwriter. For the next two years, Farrow was responsible for “overseeing the U.S. Government’s relationships with civil society and nongovernmental actors” in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
In 2011, Farrow was appointed by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as her Special Adviser for Global Youth Issues[23] and Director of the State Department’s Office of Global Youth Issues.[16] The office’s creation was the outcome of a multi-year task-force appointed by Clinton to review the United States’ economic and social policies on youth, for which Farrow co-chaired the working group with senior United States Agency for International Development staff member David Barth beginning in 2010. Farrow’s appointment and the creation of the office were announced by Clinton as part of a refocusing on youth following the Arab Spring revolutions. Farrow was responsible for US youth policy and programming[16] with an aim toward “empower[ing] young people as economic and civic actors.” Farrow concluded his term as Special Adviser in 2012, with his policies and programs continuing under his successor.

His Father Frank Sinatra would have been proud.
