Williams should be punished for it because during the game Williams actually was extraordinarily abusive to her Japanese competitor, a complete lack of manners or nobility in the face of a competitor who displayed impeccable manners, even in the face of William’s aggression.
Williams should go back to being an American. So should race monger, former Quarterback, All Un-American,traitor Colin Kaepernick.

Usually one competitor is seen as polished, refined, well-mannered or well-educated, and the other is tough and from the streets, either a brute or a devilish trickster. People like to set up those kinds of rivalries, whether or not they make race a factor in them.

I described what the coach did on tape and the fact that serena then changed her position and people look at me dumfounded. this is the worst example of piling on you can see and high paid athletes who don’t value fairness should be suspended for as long a possible.
The difference is that in the past it was just a temper tantrum. Athletes expressing their frustration at poor play or a poor call (it happens). They did not pull some social justice victim-hood card (racism, sexism, X’ism,.....
