Senate Democrats submitted a record number of written questions to President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, in a move Republicans said was the latest attempt to delay confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh.
The 1,278 questions are four times more than the number asked of Justice Neil M. Gorsuch, Mr. Trump’s first high court pick, last year. Indeed, it’s more than the combined total for every justice in U.S. history, said Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles E. Grassley.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the ranking Democrat on the committee, asked 241 questions herself...

This is not about trying to derail or stop Kavanaugh from getting into the Supreme Court. Democrats know they don’t have to the votes and can’t stop Kavanaugh.
This is about....
The next Trump nominee to the SCOTUS. Democrats are sending a huge warning shot to the next Trump nominee, whoever he/she might be. It’s a warning to not even think about getting named, else, he/she will meet with a hailstorm of questions and criticisms and attacks, on a scale bigger than what Kavanaugh was put through.
Democrats know that, with 6 more years as president, that Trump is likely to have at least another nomination for the Supreme Court. Democrats want to head off at the pass, any prospective future Trump nominee.
Stalling...obstructing.....they’re worse than enemies of this country because they claim they aren’t.... their behavior shows otherwise.
Our guys need to step up again and start fighting.....thinking Trump needs to put a fire under them again. They’re falling back to their old habits of being doormats.

GOP guys should vote to use Elena Kagan’s confirmation as a baseline for documentation and questions. Case closed. Move on.
