A longtime College of Southern Nevada sociology professor is facing felony gun charges in connection with an on-campus shooting on the second day of classes.
Mark J. Bird was charged last month with discharging a gun within a prohibited structure, carrying a concealed weapon without a permit and possessing a dangerous weapon on school property, court records show. He was found bleeding from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his arm about 8:15 a.m. on Aug. 28 outside a bathroom in the Charleston campus K building.

Given his politics, I don’t find his behavior surprising, really.
I’ll bet a million dollars he was going to pretend that he was shot by a Trump supporter. But then found out that you really can’t think much about what to do next after you’ve been shot in the arm so he changed his story.
Temple next time..?
What happened to a gallon of gasoline and a match to protest something? What an idiot. And to think this jerk was TEACHING!
Too bad it wasn’t in the head
One might call this a creative cover story for an ND of a weapon that he happened to be carrying illegally.
More range time.
Missed his head, even at that range ...
A real genius.
Ain’t having Academia a bastion of Communism wonderful?
This is the kind of literal insanity the Left and their education policies have created.
And this guy has been teaching people in class - apparently for many years. Can you imagine what these people have been “learning”?
bttt
[[Las Vegas professor shot himself in arm to protest Trump]]
I’m sorry, i wasn’t paying attention- could you repeat that action please?
This is one stupid “professor.” He is actually being paid to teach? This is a mental case, not a sane teacher. Liberalism is a mental disease.

Professor! tsk, tsk, tsk...the idea of a “protest” is to do something people CARE ABOUT.
Nobody cares if you’re stupid enough to shoot yourself in the arm - or anywhere else.
The only question is, if you’re THAT stupid, what are you doing teaching at a college?
And, why are you bringing a firearm into a school?
If you were really serious, it should have been your head, not your arm...oh, but then you wouldn’t have had a chance to see who cared, would you?
LOL
Sounds like they kept it hidden from the news or the news seemed to be complicit in keeping it on the down low for a couple of weeks.
Not surprising really.
Wouldn’t it be nice if college professors all over the country followed this brave mans example.
