AUBURN, Wash. -- Human decency took a back seat in Auburn Saturday when a man and two teens left a clerk suffering a heart attack to die, but not before helping themselves to the cash in the till and several other items in the store, police said.

‘Human decency took a back seat in Auburn Saturday’
I figured I didn’t have to look, but I did anyhow...

Too sad. Raised my kids there and worked at the hospital too.
Was a great town in those days.

It is even worse than I thought.
The delinquents apparently inflicted the heart attack on the poor storekeeper by their attempted thievery and argumentativeness, and then stepped over his body to rob more.
They returned a couple of more times to steal, and never showed the slightest trace of concern for the man unconscious on the floor.

But instead of calling for help, the teen takes the $1 bill back then they all three leave the store, but the two teens return a couple of times to steal cigarettes and take money from the cash register, police said, all the while ignoring the unconscious clerk on the ground. Sharapova says the teens made off with $178. Once upon a time I would have said its unbelievable. This seems particularly callous and cold-hearted, though. If they ever track these cretins down, they will probably get put on double-secret probation.

That picture tells us everything we need to know. No different from the "take a knee" Nike crowd. Cut from the same cloth, so to speak.

the two teens return a couple of times to steal cigarettes and take money from the cash register $178 and cigs.... and they leave the rolls of lottery tickets untouched... clearly rocket scientists.

Look at the smile on that face.
He has the ability to help another human being that lays dying a few feet away, but decides to steal. And is too dumb to even think about surveillance cameras.
The rot in our society is too deep. I dread seeing the state of things thirty years from now.

The story makes no effort to prompt the public to find the perps.

This is unusual only in that we have clear video footage. Injured people get robbed in the ‘hood all the time.

UPDATE:
The teens who walked in and out of a convenience store multiple times to steal money and items while a store clerk was passed out and suffering from a medical emergency have been identified, Auburn Police said.
Police said they have also identified the adult who was in the store when the clerk first fell to the ground and failed to call 911.
The clerk is in critical condition and in a medically induced coma after the caught-on-camera incident, which happened at about 5:40 p.m. on Saturday at the Shell station on Auburn Way S.
Police have not released the adult's name or said whether he will be charged with a crime. It's unclear what charges, if any, the teenagers will face in connection with the incident.
Yes, its hard to discern whether any crimes were committed. The eye-witness is in a coma.

Nice, clear pics of the perps for once. One would hope that someone would recognize these low-lifes.

They’re just misunderstood. This is WA state anyway, so this must be the case.
