The bottom line is We aint going to let them control us
In March of 2002, a cleanup crew was sifting through the last remnants of the south tower. It was there that a firefighter uncovered a very special piece of debris! ...In shock, he called out to Joel Meyerowitz, who was nearby.... Joel is a photographer who wrote the book Aftermath: World Trade Center Archive...
....This shredded, burned and rubble-covered Bible came to me from the loving hands of a fireman who knew that I was the record keeper of ground zero, Joel said...The page was from the Gospel of Matthew, in which Jesus gave His Sermon on the Mount ...Joel went on to donate the fragment to the National September 11 Memorial Museum, where it continues to inspire today.
Do you still do HAM?
I hope she was able to get one. From what I have heard, the stores are pretty empty of anything one might need. I sure hope some vendors make shipments before Thursday!
I suggested to some that they order stuff from Amazon with 1-day shipment. Unless the mail has stopped service, it should arrive before the hurricane does.
A little bit
When all systems go down HAM is the 1st line of info
Welcome to the Canteen, punknpuss...those programs they air each year never get old.
Thanks for the reminder.
Good evening, radu...fantastic montage of the happening on 9/11.
So many have forgotten, both the events and who did them.
Howdy, LUV.
I’m not gone for the night. LOL! Been doing a little studying in order to be of help with tours at the museum, watching the video clips I got last Sat. If I’m not mistaken, the woman who’s normally there on Saturdays won’t be there this weekend and that will leave only the guy who’s always there. I don’t know if either of the other two guys will be around or not. Need to be ready to step in if needed.
So much to learn and a lousy memory. LOL! The long-term memory’s fine IF I can get the info lodged in there. If I do this every night this week, the most important things should be in there and it’ll be enough to get by.
Glad you’re still enjoying cool weather. It was almost chilly here today. It was 68 degrees this afternoon when I went to the vet to get one of Moogly’s meds refilled. No sunshine here. Cloudy with some drizzle off and on all last night and today and we ended up with another .4 an inch in the gauge. Tomorrow’s supposed to be about 10 degrees warmer so it’ll still feel nice.
That’s kind of what I was thinking. I remember you listening to people all over the world while sitting in John’s back yard.
Wow, caww!
That gave me goose bumps!
Thanks for sharing !
Howdy, Kathy.
A fantastic thread altogether what with all the images and links posted by everyone.
I get angrier every year on this anniversary BECAUSE so many have forgotten.
Did all the extra time you put in over the weekend help make things go a little more smoothly today? I certainly hope so.
Awww...you’ll do just fine. If you forget the script just wing it. I’ll bet you know more than you think you do just from listening to the others.
It was about 81 here, I think. It’s 70 right now. Simply perfect! No more 90s that I can see for the next 14 days at least. whew!
Hope sweet Moogly is doing ok!
*HUG*
Good evening/morning, Ma!
yes. we are!
How was your Monday?
My pain kept me home today.
I just didn’t have it in me to go.
Took it east today and pain meds helped.
Can’t drive while I am taking them.
Welcome to the Canteen, conservativeimage.com..
A lovely prayer.
Good evening, hoagy...rough day for sure.
Thanks for sharing.
