Beto O'Rourke is as Hispanic as Elizabeth Warren is Native-American. The Dem candidate for Senate from Texas is, in fact, a fourth-generation Irish American.
But that doesn't stop Victoria DeFrancesco, on the faculty of the Department of Mexican-American and Latino Studies at UT-Austin, giving "Beto" the full Spanish pronunciation of his first name as a guest on Chris Matthews' MSNBC show this evening.

This is so annoying! Mexican-American studies prof at UT-Austin gives phony Latino “Beto” the full Spanish pronunciation.
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
Its pronounced Benito.
Even Matthews seems a bit put off, ostentatiously thanking her for teaching him the right pronunciation of “Beto.”
A Rachel Dolezal moment?
Being dishonest is part of the communist democrat game plan nationwide:
Congressional candidate, Munich jihadi’s grandson, filed to run for Congress under fake name (he wanted to appear Hispanic not Muslim)

It’s Farlow Beto./sarc
“Even Matthews seems a bit put off...”
He should have replied, “It is pronounced “Rah-Bert”. Robert. I know my Irish-American names, lady! Robert Francis ORourke. Like someone Bing Crosby might play!”
But that would require honesty, and Matthews lost his about halfway thru the Lewinsky scandal.

Is Robert going in for a DNA test?
Fake-O O’Hit-n-run.
It’s short for “Alberto” ...
When they debate, Cruz should hand O’Rourke a Guinness and say, in his best Irish accent, “here you go, Beto my lad. Some suds from the Old Sod.” ;-)
That assumes that Robert Francis O’Rourke actually debates. He bailed on the first scheduled debate.
Good point.
Ping.

Thanks governsleastgovernsbest.
It’s short for Roberto.
His REAL name is Robert.
It would be like me going by Jaunita...or, you going by Conejito.
And these are the people who scream about cultural appropriation? Besides, I always thought for this go it’s “B-tt Hole”
