Here is the projected path of Hurricane Florence.

Sporting events in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and possibly Florida and Virginia, may be impacted the weekend of Sept 15-16 and even Friday September 14.

This will probably do more than 'cancel events' as this may be a major hurricane slamming into the East Coast.
Originally this storm was to stay East and North of Bermuda, and now it is projected to go 'way South' of Bermuda as it heads West...

The weather could get crazy once it breaches the Appalachians, the only physical barrier,
and there are places in the Mid-Atlantics that are already saturated from previous rains.
