Earlier today 2020 presidential candidate and New Jersey Democrat Senator Cory Booker made quite the scene at Judge Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation hearing.
Daring Republicans to expel him from the Senate, Booker vowed to knowingly break Senate rules by releasing confidential Committee documents and accused Kavanaugh of having something hide.
DOCUMENTS:
--Rs say the "committee confidential" docs were cleared for release before 4 a.m.
--Ds say the docs were cleared for release at about 10:31 a.m. this morning
--REGARDLESS, they were cleared for public release before Booker and Hirono posted them on their websites.— Seung Min Kim (@seungminkim) September 6, 2018

But it turns out the documents Booker "heroically" released, even saying this was his "Spartacus moment," had already been cleared for publication at 4 a.m. this morning.
Therefore, he didn't actually break any rules. He was simply grandstanding.
So, now we're being told (by Committee staffers) that SenBooker knew BEFORE he made these statements - that the documents in question had already been cleared for release. That's a significant claim to make, so I've asked his office directly. Will update if/when I get response. https://t.co/lNxx3wEVCZ— Shannon Bream (@ShannonBream) September 6, 2018
Others were cleared last night.

Further, it takes 2/3 of the Senate to expel a Senator. Booker knew going into this morning's hearing that would never happen and made his statements anyway.
Booker's grandstanding fell apart faster than his story about his non-existent friend "T-Bone."
Not only grandstanding, but I loved it when the Repub (I forget the name now-—senior moment...) said that since Booker wanted all that transparency, then it would make sense for all of them to release all their emails and other correspondence that deal with the Kavanaugh nomination.....threw a big damper on his parade...smelled a bit like urine as it splashed down...
Me thinks we have one, Spartacus
As in, hey there Spartacus, howze it hangin?
sarcasm at its finest!
Dont laugh to quickly remember the people of the US elected Obama twice.
I never would have believed that the American people could fall for such an obvious liar as Obama or such a self-avowed socialist and associate of terrorist.
Granted that Booker is not as androgynous as Obama but that trait could fall either way in an election.
Oh I know. I don’t think he’s such a smooth charmer.
But it IS true the left are exceedingly-stupid when it comes to their candidates. How else do Maxine Waters and Nancy Pelosi continue? Not to mention Chuck Schumer, etc.
John McCain kept getting reelected.
yep
Some people vote for a Democrat even if he has an R by his name.
McCain was a special kind of traitor.
For example, McCain wanted us all to have the “healthcare” that wasn’t forced upon HIM. (I know you know this but for the thread...)
Having one who lived in New Jersey all my life I can assure that Booker’s constituency in Newark constitute some of THE STUPIDEST people you would ever encounter. I’m serious. I would venture to tell you that in your life you’ve known dogs and cats who had more brains then anyone who ever voted for Cory Booker.
