President Trump on Wednesday called for the New York Times to reveal the name of the anonymous administration official who wrote an op-ed article blasting him.
“Does the so-called ‘Senior Administration Official’ really exist, or is it just the Failing New York Times with another phony source? If the GUTLESS anonymous person does indeed exist, the Times must, for National Security purposes, turn him/her over to government at once!” the president wrote in a tweet posted online at about 7:45 p.m.
The Times said in an explanation that went along with the op-ed — which was published Wednesday afternoon — that it knew the identity of the “senior official in the Trump administration” but was keeping it secret because the person’s job would be jeopardized. “We believe publishing this essay anonymously is the only way to deliver an important perspective to our readers,” the Times wrote.
In the piece, the official, who is described as part of the “resistance,” said that “many of the senior officials in his own administration are working diligently from within to frustrate parts of [Trump’s] agenda and his worst inclinations.”
In anger over this, Trump earlier in the evening Wednesday tweeted only the word “TREASON?”

So, NYT, that person keeping his job is more important than the obvious, implicit threat to national security represented by his or her behavior?
It’s likely a concoction of the all the Woodward “deep background” BS made by someone such as a junior staffer from the McMaster days that no one could fire because of civil service rules. Remember, Omarossa says she was a “White House aide” but her job, in reality, was throwing parties whenever state delegations were in town.
Treason?...OK. If this persons-if there is a person, intent was a coup. Then it is certainly sedition at the least, and at the most, treason if proved as a coup against the duly elected POTUS.
Which will it be?
The NYT had better fess up because some on the left are going against the grain on this one.
If the NYT made it up, then close them down. It IS NOT freedom of speech if you yell fire in a crowded theater. Nor is it freedom of the press if you supplement sedition against the office of the POTUS.
There once was a president who suspended a portion of the US Constitution to reign in the news media for sedition towards the US Government. Name who that was. BTW, he was most likely the most despised man that ever held the office at that time. That was until that war was over and he was killed. AND BTW, treason was preached at the democrat convention during the prior election.

Trump could say he knows who. He can say it’s Sessions and fire him. Who cares if Sessions denies it. Everyone expects that.
Unless President Trump shuts down the NYT, there is no reason for the NYT to reveal their source.
Maybe they don’t want peace with NK and are trying to push Trump to go-to war. I’m ok with denying access to this outlet as a result of this

If Assad uses chemical weapons (probably fake anyways) Trump should refuse to act because, “this can be a mole in my administration trying to work against me, only the NY times knows for sure”
