Fox News host Tucker Carlson started his show Wednesday night claiming he had a pretty good idea who wrote the controversial anonymous New York Times op-ed and added that representatives from his show had called the White House for comment.
Earlier in the day, The New York Times published an anonymous op-ed that was allegedly written by a senior official in the Trump administration.
We think weve got a pretty good idea who wrote this piece. Weve called the White House for comment on it tonight. But until we confirm the identity, of course, were not going to accuse anybody in public, Carlson said.

One more thing...the writer has probably expressed similar, if not identical, thoughts in writing before (e.g., in blogs). Chances are this is not his first rodeo spouting this kind of disloyal verbiage.
Tucker and company either have a hint as to who it is or they combined that with an examination of distinctive word patterns.
Absolutely. There’s a good chance Tucker may have run across this person before. He has great recall and may have made some quick word associations.
We are all creatures of habit and tend to over rely on the same things, including words.
The first person I flashed on was Kellyanne... I suspect it's someone much further down the food chain...
i guess the word “LODESTAR” was used in the op-ed..only one person has used that word in the past, in speeches etc, and thats Mike Pence....oddsmakers have him as the fovorite betting wise...he does seem awful quiet about all this. ..who knows.

No, it’s his sister Amarosa........;)
Coates doesn’t seem to be on Trump’s side.
I cannot understand how a married couple can be political polar opposites.
Unless politics is just a cynical money-making game for them (as it is with James CarVILE and his wife).
I hope they get hurt badly. They deserve it.
I do not care if the suspects are guilty or not; they have no right to a job, so replace them. Who the hell are these rats who think they know better than the duly elected President? (NOT THEIR JOB!)
Ah yes, good choice.
I also thought of Coates. Brought in late, not loyal like DeVos, Perry, Pence and Pompeo. Theyre strong Christians who know exactly who Trump is and has been from the start and knows he needs their Godly support.
Think we’ll need to narrow down to less than half the population.
Ford was brought in by Pence; wonder how he was vetted?
Compare their writing, if available, STYLES to that of any quotes from the bleaker; might help.
I wish they would do all of that.
Speaking of Pence, just where did he go/
VP’s are usually out front, taking head on what comes the way of the Pres—this guy is AWOL! Haven’t seen much of a defense or offense from Pence. Expected much more from him.
Disappointed to date—hope he gets in the game!
Well then Trump oughta fire his azz!!
Never like that squirrel! Lib Repub
Didn’t the wording also play a part in unmasking the Unabomber?
Drop a MOAB on the NYT building.
