Yeah, I don’t really count him, we even had a governor that was only governor for 3 days!.............
Keep in mind: Democrats and Liberals cheat through any means possible while projecting their deeds onto Republicans and Conservatives.
I’m not sure what you are asking me to do.
The poll makes sense if you’ve seen Gollum’s rallies, filled to the rim with stupid White women. the same ones who infected us with Obama.
The He Coon walks just before daylight.
True, true in some sense. Their polling is a bit off.
Quinnipiac has the most notorious left wing bias of any of the major polls. DeSantis is going to be elected.
What is left of the olde guard “pork chop gang” democrat (white elitist) machine in FL supported Gwen Graham, former Sen. Bob Graham’s daughter (Bob Graham, son of the family that owned the Wa Po for decades, btw— the same Wa Po the see eye aaaa gave 600Mill to Jeff Bezos/Amazon to buy at a fire sale price- so the same three letter agency could continue to staff the writers and editors with their mouthpiece “journalists”. See how that has worked all these years?). Bob Graham married into the MacArthur Dairy (major FL dairy/cattle business) to become...a “Floridian”- oh, and he chaired...at one time the Senate Intel Committee (corrupt as hell).
So, yeah— the dems who aren’t total commies in FL— were horrified by Gillum (they were that way when the dude won the mayor of Tallahassee— sort of like a Willie Brown/Kamala Harris type of development, since these idiots think FL is California. They were horrified Gwen Graham didn’t win— because, truth be told she’d have been a much better candidate vs. either former Ag Secretary Putnam, or the former JAG officer to the SEALs and trump man.
But FL ain’t California (global change, fruits and nuts and whineries).
BTW- reminded of this the other day— Florida translates from the Spanish as “Land of Flowers”. California translates to.... “Hot Furnace” Cali— fornia. Global warming must have featured in the desert state when the Spaniards named it.
Interesting reply. Thanks.
A lot of establishment type Dems in Florida and elsewhere who are affluent, successful, or have some semblance of traditional values must be very uneasy with the continuing leftward drift in their party. Socialism is a threat to them too. (Just look at all the people leaving California and moving to other states. Many of them are Dems who unfortunately bring their voting habits with them to their newly adopted states.)
From a national standpoint, I think the sudden emergence of hard core socialist candidates is symptomatic of a complete lack of a positive agenda and a party that is bereft of ideas. They have nothing to offer other than pie in the sky schemes that are economically, and socially, unviable.
The rise of these radicals is a gift to an otherwise equally ineffective GOP (at the present time). In short, the crazy left is a great foil for the GOP and its best hope for retaining the House and increasing its margin in the senate.
DeSantis resigns from Congress to focus on the gubernatorial race, he says he doesn’t want to take a salary not being there.
Patently unnecessary, it’s not like the district now will get a full time Congressman, it’ll just be vacant. His last few months salary is a drop in the bucket, I hope there are no close votes at the end of the session.
It’s a preemptive strike against the doubtlessly coming Democrat ads accusing DeSantis of receiving a salary despite not showing up for work. It also saves his campaign time and money not to have to fly back and forth to DC.
I respect that, it reminds me when Bob Dole resigned from the Senate after he got the GOP nomination for President, saying it wasn't fair to his constiuents to continue holding the title of "Senator" and collecting a salary when he couldn't be there to do the job.
Sadly, no Senators since then followed his lead. Joe LIEberman, John Kerry, John Edwards, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and John McCain had no qualms whatsoever of not only being "Senator" In Name Only, but running for re-election as "Senator" WHILE RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT/VICE-PRESIDENT so they had a "fall back" political job in case they lost. In the case when they DID lose, they pretty much stayed in the Senate until the bitter end.
I'll take Bob Dole and Ron DeSantis' decision over that any day.
Senate is different, Dole was replaced by gubernatorial appointment, RINO scum though because Governor Graves was RINO scum. Thank God Brownback beat the RINO Sqeaky Fromm in the special election primary, for a minute there you had friggin Snowe and Collins in KANSAS (pre Collins!). Because of the RINO Governor I’d have advised Dole only to step down as leader and not resign from the Senate.
DeSantis seat will remain vacant the rest of the year and his constituents now have no representation instead of limited representation. I don’t like that. I don’t like House vacancies, I don’t like resignations from the House unless necessary. I don’t like resignations from the House after it’s too late/pointless to have a special election to fill it, there’s no reason for it unless you need to report to prison.
Symbolic value aside, the amount of money involved is completely meaningless, and consider this, DeSantis could just donate it to charity and it would do 50 times more good than remaining in the federal treasury. I view it as a campaign stunt.
Baaaah Haaaaah! Too close to call....with two months to go!
Ignore this crap.
Entertainment value only.
Weel, good point about the attack ads.
