Illegal immigrants are opting out of government welfare programs out of fear of Trump Administration crackdowns coming done the pike, reported POLITICO on Monday.
Due to a proposed Trump Administration rule to deny legal status to illegals on welfare, both legal and illegal immigrants have been inundating health care providers with calls demanding they be dropped from federal assistance programs like WIC.
Agencies in at least 18 states say theyve seen drops of up to 20 percent in enrollment, and they attribute the change largely to fears about the immigration policy, says the report.

Ive had arguments here with folks dead certain illegal aliens couldnt get welfare.
I used to work for a public housing agency. Tell your friends to shut their pie holes. Not only can illegals get welfare, but they do it in large numbers. In addition, they can live in public housing as long as just one of their household members is a legal resident. Just one. Quite often, that one legal resident is less than 6 months old.

What isn’t added in under the “unavailable” column is that a significant number of illegals have anchor babies, and apply for and get all those benefits on behalf of the anchor baby. So, no, technically, the illegal doesn’t get the benefit, but in reality, yes, they do.

They may well be dropping out in person.. but until President Trump ends W Bush's transfer to faith based charities funding this illegal invasion... we are still paying for the illegals. US taxpayers pay billions to ‘fake’ faith based charities for illegals and resettlement of Obama and lying Ryan's refugees.

You don't have to force people to do what you want if you can motivate them to do it themselves.
Trump is a great motivator!
- Deport illegal aliens on contact with LE.
- Vigorously enforce the law on employers of illegal aliens.
- Build a border fence, use high-tech surveillance and fund adequate personnel to maintain security.
- Eliminate entitlements for illegal aliens.
- End the "anchor baby" policy.
- Use E-VERIFY for all Employment and Benefits.
Do those things and illegal aliens will deport themselves and pay for the trip. Motivation is a powerful force.
MAGA!

We need to put all this money saved into the “build the wall” fund.

I keep hearing that Illegal Invaders cannot get Welfare.
They also say that Illegal Invaders can’t get the $6.431 (if they have three kids) Earned Income Tax Credit.
Watch Judge Judy. It seems that every other case involves a Person who was supposed to repay a Debt as soon as their Tax Refund comes in. They don’t make much money, which means when their EITC (AKA Lottery Winnings) arrive.

or maybe they were worried that increased scrutiny would reveal the depths of double-dipping and outright fraud?

That as well no doubt. Illegals are very cleaver about how to abuse our systems they were ‘taught’ even before getting here, as well as activist attorneys to show them the way to qualify once they’re here.

Welfare workers have to sustain a certain number of ‘clients’ in order to sustain their own employment. They are NOT in the business of getting people off welfare.

This is exactly why they want to get their grandparents and those with disabilities etc. into our country....it affords them then a steady cash stream if they don’t qualify themselves. Also why they pay traffickers to bing their kids in who wil then bring the parents and grandparents in later....cha ching cha ching!

And a string of 13 to 16 year old “baby mamas” on welfare that also provide safe house accommodations when the cops are doing drug sweeps.

A search on Needy Families Cash Assistance brings up many references to TANF. Has me thinking both programs may be the same thing.
