The Democrat Party is machine.
I was told by the Local Republican Office that the RNC did not order any Ted Cruz yard signs and the local offices had to order them causing them to come in late. Though the websites say there is a cost for each sign there is no set cost; more of a ‘contribution’ if you can afford it. I am picking up a set this Tuesday from my local office. While I’m still teed off at Sen Cruz for his abysmal behavior towards Pres Trump after Election 2018, there is NO WAY that I want Beto to replace him.
Ive seen PLENTY of Beto signs for the last 10 weeks.
I can’t see ever putting up a yard sign for a conservative candidate again with so many leftard crazies on the loose.
Beto? What kind of a name is that? That is worse than mine, fungi.
Ted needs a new campaign manager.
Jeff Roe is a slacker.
Phone banks? I’ve seen the cRuz’ previous phone banks....pitiful.
Direct mailers. Has anyone received one? I haven’t.
TV ads? Again...has anyone seen a cRuz campaign ad? I haven’t.
We’ll see what the next couple of months bring.
My wife and I have been commenting about the Beto signs the last two weeks.
In the recent primary here in Arizona, there were WAY more Kelli Ward signs and bumper stickers than McSally. But McSally had a huge television and radio ad presence, and she won.
Not really. Its Labor Day weekend. The electorate is just starting to pay attention
Roe didnt do so good against Trump. Lets hope he does better against the faux Latino
Its a sort of John Doe or Fred of Spanish.
*** Jeff Roe, told the Texas Tribune this week that he has an overall aversion to campaign yard signs because they’re ineffective. He said he prefers to spend money on other advertisements, such as direct mail, door knocking, phone banks and television ads.***
Jeff Roe must be a total moron.
In my town, reliably red, Beto signs are about 7-8 to each Cruz sign. People who were Republican voters have Beto signs in their yards.
The signs show consensus. It is ok to vote for the young guy.
As for print, radio, television, or direct mailers for Cruz..nada, zip, nothing.
The lack of yard signs can signal complacency, or the idea you think you’ve already won so there’s no reason to have them.
I think his manager may be wrong on this one.
You have to look like you’re in the game.
Seeing the opposition signs 100 to 20, is probably not a good idea.
I’m not sure I’d say they don’t help at all.
Folks like think others think like them. Seeing a lot of signs may actually cause a person to think.
Isn’t it a bit odd that all of the yard signs seemed to suddenly pop up?
*************
Nope. Campaigns schedule certain things to happen at specific times.
Specific advertising such as tv, radio, newspaper, yard signs, bill boards,...
I live in Austin where Robert Francis ORourke...I mean Beto...or is that Pequeña Beta signs are ubiquitous. If I would post Cruz sign on my yard, the tolerant left would trash my property.
Me thinks Lyn’ Ted and Hapless Roe are using the Hillary Clinton playbook. Maybe they think Trump will pull a victory out of the disaster? It it becomes clear that Republicans have 51 without Lyn’ Ted, hopefully Trump will step away and spend his time elsewhere as Lyn’ Ted looks like a loser and hate to see Trump stung.
Sometimes Cruz can be a total idiot.
Direct mail doesn’t work, nor does robo-calls.
In before lying Ted. Who would vote for such a heinous liar? Remember 2016. A bunch of cruzbots and never trumpers to be punished.
I recall people who dismissed Trump’s outsized yard sign advantage in real America and were surprised when he won.
I’m not sure Cruz will lose - Texas is still very red, but I’m sure that it’ll at least be closer than any of us are comfortable with if he doesn’t. Beto is young and charismatic, and Cruz is not as young and has zero charisma. It’s an infuriating part of politics, but I’m convinced that the charisma gap is what saved us from a Crooked presidency. It’s also what stuck us with 2 terms of Hussein.
Cruz better get his voters out. Hopefully, the president helps him with that since his trips have been huge boosts to other candidates so far.
SORRY FOR YELLING BUT I LIVE IN BIG D AND DONT NEED TO READ THE ARTICLE TO TELL YOU THE TWO REASONS WHY. First, last I check CruZ signs were closer to $50 and Netos were $5. Second, even in conservative Texas I fear my home will get vandalized if I put up the Cruz sign. Im not the only here. Dallas is like any other big city with tons of Democrats. Dropping $50 to have my house egged or rocks thrown isnt worth it. Especially when Cruz isnt going to lose.
