Hollywoods portrayal of astronaut Neil Armstrong in the biopic First Man was quick to elicit the attention on Friday of aviation legend Gen. Chuck Yeager.
Social media platforms lit up before the weekend as news spread that Ryan Goslings latest film does not include the American flag being planted on the moon. Critics fretted that First Man would essentially turn Mr. Armstrong into a progressive caricature when Mr. Yeager, 95, weighed in.
Ryan Gosling is coming out with the movie First Man where it portrays Neil Armstrong as a liberal progressive anti-Trump (in spirit) non-flag waiver, a user identified as @ClarenceSwirly wrote. Probably agree with the National Anthem kneelers, too; at least in Hollywoods liberal imagination. For your Info.
Thats not the Neil Armstrong I knew, Mr. Yeager...

This leftist Gosling is all wet, the landing was not only about being "distinctly American" but about America first!
People on the airshow circuit say that Yeager is actually a total a$shole, BTW.
Same thing in Robin Williams portrayal of the real-life “Good Morning, Vietnam” guy:
Movie made him out to be pretty liberal, hostile to the military.
TOTAL B.S., the guy was super zany, yes, but in fact really conservative.
No one disputed it.
Believes his own press.
He may be but he’s dead on the mark about this.
agree
Endless Democrat lies and propaganda..
So much for watching that stinking movie!
I had kind of a lousy experience when I have to opportunity to meet him, but you know what I decided over the years to cut him slack.
On the other hand, Bob Hoover was the most amazing man to me Personable, friendly We hung around with him For about 20 minutes, and talking to him is like talking to an old friend!
But I am glad to hear Yeager come out on the record about Neil Armstrong.
Neil Armstrong was set apart as the only one who remained true to his wife.....and sent her loving messages.
The other astronaut's fell prey to the vicissitudes of fame....including bedding down the many willing women who showed up.
All except Armstrong.
Buddy and I were jogging and this old lady was watering her yard in a California summer - buddy said, there’s a drought you know she said “go to hell - I’m 80 years old”
She was correct.
Chuck is too.
Everybody says that about Trump, too...
Some men, truly, leave a big wake. As it should be.
I often find folks declaring such and so, and when asked about their bona fides, they squirm a lot while trying to find an answer.
Like folks who say “we oughta go kick their butts” regarding some foreign affair, but when the onion is peeled back a bit, that guy never even tasted his own bloody lip yet is telling other men to go do something deadly.
General Yeager wasn’t one of those types.
“All except Armstrong.’
What about John Glenn?
Or Buzz Aldrin?
The arrogance and lies coming from Hollyweird continue to set new highs.
My understanding is John Glenn stayed faithful, too.
The only thing that lies more than the insane left is the muslims....and even that is debatable. They are a scourge upon the country and her history.
