term limits, 2 for Senate and 4 for the House.
If you cant say something good about someone, its better not to say anything at all.
That said, heres what I ve got to say about John McCain:
.
His funereal arrangements are so over the top. He was not president and not admired by all as the press is trying so hard to portray. My TV will be off until it’s all over.
The writer forgot to mention McCain pushed for property rental laws in Sedona so his hotel real estate holdings were not damaged.
I will only say one thing, John McCain saved me in 2008 from not voting for the first time when he chose Sarah Palin as his running mate. Thank you Senator McCain for allowing me to happily pull the Republican lever in the 2008 Presidential race....
Funny, I just saw this article five minutes ago on an independent internet search. Glad you posted it, advance_copy!
There’s no doubt Juan is in a better place now. Better for America for sure.
It is a direct line from Keating to McCain’s unconstitutional infringement of the 1st Amendment, McCain/Feingold. It was his spiteful retribution for all the criticism he received for his role in Keating.

If the media and public would take the time and energy to do a background check on McCain they might not spend any time praising this worthless person.
Those who survive will be the sociopaths who can tell a lie with the most sincere, straight face. You are especially adept at this.
Words to reflect on:
Ezekiel 18:32 For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.
My sentiments towards the late Senator from Arizona:
I respect him for his military service. I have the greatest respect for his service while imprisoned as a PoW.
As for his political career, the less said, the more charitable.
Great article - I worked with people who lost their life savings and homes because of the Keating 5 Bank Scandal. One guy had a mortgage on his retirement home thru Lincoln Savings and Loan. When the Bank went under, he lost everything. McCain never paid back a dime to anyone.
Every coin has two sides. Politicians are the same, they are have two sides. They will lobby you for your vote. then give nothing in return. Look at both sides fairly and decide for yourself if your needs and concerns are being represented or if they served themselves after they got to Washington or wherever you sent them.
So, McCain was a nice guy but what did he accomplish over the years that was in your best interest?
So, he served in Vietnam but so did thousands of others. Even John F Kerry served, he has the wounds to show you. Some gave all so that our representative form of government could continue. Everyday guys like you and me.
I’m for term limits, limited government benefits, and limited financial gain (whether domestic or foreign) for our elected representatives while in office.
How many politicians have resigned due to bankruptcy or conflict of interests while in office, not many lately. How many books have been ghost written, Nobel Peace prizes awarded, paid speeches given, etc. while in office?
It’s all BS and we, the people on both sides of the aisle, know it. So let’s praise McCain, put up a statue, name a street, and carry on. Nothing changes...
He sucked... Once a VC traitor, always a VC traitor ...
But here's the real deal....
The Keating Five were five United States Senators accused of corruption in 1989, igniting a major political scandal as part of the larger savings and loan crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The five senatorsAlan Cranston (Democrat of California), Dennis DeConcini (Democrat of Arizona), John Glenn (Democrat of Ohio), John McCain (Republican of Arizona), and Donald W. Riegle, Jr. (Democrat of Michigan)were accused of improperly intervening in 1987 on behalf of Charles H. Keating, Jr., Chairman of the Lincoln Savings and Loan Association, which was the target of a regulatory investigation by the Federal Home Loan Bank Board (FHLBB).
The FHLBB subsequently backed off taking action against Lincoln. Lincoln Savings and Loan collapsed in 1989, at a cost of $3.4 billion to the federal government (and thus taxpayers). Some 23,000 Lincoln bondholders were defrauded and many investors lost their life savings. The substantial political contributions Keating had made to each of the senators, totaling $1.3 million, attracted considerable public and media attention.
After a lengthy investigation, the Senate Ethics Committee determined in 1991 that Cranston, DeConcini, and Riegle had substantially and improperly interfered with the FHLBB's investigation of Lincoln Savings, with Cranston receiving a formal reprimand. Senators Glenn and McCain were cleared of having acted improperly but were criticized for having exercised "poor judgment".
All five senators served out their terms. Only Glenn and McCain ran for re-election, and they both retained their seats. McCain would go on to run for President of the United States twice, and was the Republican Party nominee in 2008.
