First of all, neither Schmuck or McCrisis ever sat their fat azz in Russell. Flake & Gilligran are in there, so is the Turtle's rump staff (they like the extra space) but Russell is considered declasse ie Schmuck has figured out a way to damn McCain with faint praise indeed.

Secondly, Russell's early career was, according to wiki:
