Trump still pretends he is powerless over the Department of Justice

Donald Trump has occupied the White House for a grand total of 580 days. Apparently the president hasnt discovered all the features and perks that come with the Oval Office. Take his tweets.
Early Friday morning the leader of the free world publicly shamed Jeff Sessions, asking his attorney general to open up the files of the Department of Justice so the public could peek at documents concerning everything from the Russia dossier to FISA applications. It would be quite the haul. It would dominate news cycles for months to come. It could happen tomorrow.
Trump has the power. As head of the executive branch, he can tell the Justice Department to jump and, in most cases, they are supposed to ask how high. The current leader of the free world prefers to pretend he doesnt have the authority, however. Ever the victim, Trump would rather tweet than give orders that might require some painful political follow-through.

"so the public could peek at documents concerning everything from the Russia dossier to FISA applications. It would be quite the haul. It would dominate news cycles for months to come." Oh yeah RIGHT. The Deep State Media IGNORES ANYTHING THAT IMPLICATES THEM, just as they have been.

I don’t know what’s going on, but to call Donald J. Trump brazenly assertive would be an understatement. LOL.

Trump is highlighting the cover ups, stonewalling and obstructions of Justice and other acts of misconduct by high level officials at the DOJ and FBI.
Its darn hard to fire burrowed in senior civil servants for anything less than misconduct
Trump could have ordered these guys to do their jobs anytime he wanted, but he has let them hang themselves
Of course, their slow walking and stonewalling has enabled Trump to shape public opinion and prepare people for some really damaging revelation's all timed just before the most critical election in history
