President Trump has a lot on the line in this fall’s midterm elections. So, he’s decided to turn for help to the man he trusts the most — himself.
In the remaining 75 days until ballots are counted, Trump will invest at least 40 of them in campaigning for Republicans in both House and Senate races. He will spend additional time on fundraising for candidates and the party .And you may have noticed, this president is quite comfortable with spur-of-the-moment decisions. So, it’s likely he will add even more campaign days along the way as races and political needs develop. And given the growing importance of early voting, those extra days are likely to be front-loaded.
In the month of September alone the president will travel to campaign in Montana, Missouri, both Dakotas, Nevada, Tennessee and Kentucky. He will also campaign in competitive House races in districts in New York, Ohio, Montana and Pennsylvania, among others.
And, of course, Vice President Mike Pence will be on the campaign road too.
Because of his unpredictable volatility, Trump is a guaranteed magnet for news media coverage, which, of course, he knows. That magnifies the publicity on him and his agenda well beyond that individual district or state.

Trump has said for months that he didn’t want to get involved. But in a Fox News interview that aired Thursday, he said he may have to step in.
“At the right time, I think I’m going to have to do the documents,” he said when asked if he would use his power to force the department to act.
“I didn’t want to, but I think I’m going to have to. There’s such corruption,” he added...
Trump said the “corruption” in the department dates back to the Obama administration.
“Before I got here, it’s from before I got here. It’s the Obama administration,” he said. “They surveilled my campaign, it’s very simple.”
“As I’ve said, I wanted to stay uninvolved. It’s a very, very sad day,” he added...

Despite the snarky headline, of course Trump is out to “help himself”. What candidate isn’t?
There’s an old saying, “Man who fails to toot his own horn, winds up playing second fiddle.”; it’s true, and if Trump does it, it ain’t bragging, it’s the truth.
An example is Hillary, she tried a almost non-existent, drive-by campaign in 2016, and it cost her the election.
That’s not to say she doesn’t “toot her own horn”, it’s just that they’re all sour notes.
And here’s a writer who seems astounded that a candidate might have the audacity to actually campaign, for the party members, and himself.
I think they’re just scared $h/|+less that he WILL campaign.
Eat it leftist swine. Watch how Trump plows through this campaign and flattens dozens of Democrats.
Perhaps Mr. Malcolm hadn’t noticed that Trump has to help himself because so few in the gop(e) will do so.

But in this case, Trump is an out just to help himself. He wants to help the country. It’s the only reason he ran. And he can’t help the country without some conservative Republicans in Congress. The ones we have now are completely worthless. And giving him a democrat congress would be such a waste of his hopes to fix the country.
His energy and stamina is amazing. I swear he is looking younger every day he’s in office. Other presidents seem to age overnight.
