Shock news: The Big Bang Theory will end in 2019.
Warner Bros. just announced the CBS mega-hit comedy will have its final episode next year.
The conclusion will mark the end of the longest-running multi-camera series in television history.
In a joint statement, Warner Bros. Television, CBS and Chuck Lorre Productions said, We are forever grateful to our fans for their support of The Big Bang Theory during the past 12 seasons. We, along with the cast, writers and crew, are extremely appreciative of the shows success and aim to deliver a final season, and series finale, that will bring The Big Bang Theory to an epic creative close.

IMO, he chemistry between the cast members is what has made the show such a success and it will be the career peak of all of them except for Jim Parsons.
Kaley Couco was in the movie The Last Ride about Hank Williams, might have been 5 years ago. She was terrible in the movie.
Yea but Penny was “hot” (in the beginning anyway) so “what difference does it make!” Anyhoo.
some day the Simpsons will end.
“It just perpetuated the typical Hollywood stereotype of scientists & engineers.”
Dunno. I went to MIT (engineer) and could pretty much identify or identify with most all the characters, especially at the ZBT fraternity house.
When your income peeks at a million dollars a week for a few years, there are no more valleys.
And the cast will still be getting paid for syndication.
Been over for me for 10 years now.
Fricking beta cuckolds.
>>Never liked it. Made intelligent people look like dorks, misfits and limp-wrists.
I’ve been around highly-intelligent dorks and misfits my whole life. It’s a funny show and everyone in my D&D group and my World of Warcraft guild loves it.
For me it ended in 2017 when it got old and moldy
Can’t stand that faggot infested show. Laugh tracks get worn out continually after every line of dialogue. The main character is a well known faggot and a Trump hater. Good bye and good riddance.
I love the show.
But then we got "Freaks and Geeks" and we got the "Big Bang Theory" and now all we geeks are supposed to be freak-friendly.
It's really sad how easy geeks can be led by the nose to the latest cultural fad.
If a cute woman is supposedly OK with freaks, then most geeks will fall over themselves to tolerate ... and even celebrate ... freaks.
I’m guess I’m different from the commentators here but I enjoy this show very much. My wife and I watch it together and we get much needed laughs from BBT.
Well didn’t go to MIT.
I went to your land grant cow colleges for my grad degrees, worked part-time during my first grad school run (Worked in a coal mine). Maybe 1 person fit that stereotype.
My most brilliant colleague ended up at the Max Planck Institute. All through grad school he wore bib overalls, various torn flannel shirts, looked and sounded like Jethro Bodine, came from a dirt poor western Virginia home. Now I know some of his hillbilly antics was an act but certainly not all. When it came to physics he was all talent, hard work and humor. A fun guy! However nothing like the BBT guys!
Ironically, there was a recent article and related thread here about the show, and how it is the worst example of "toxic masculinity" and all that nonsense still on television. Seriously.
Although the show went to great lengths to craft these geekwad male characters, the show's creators used that as clever camouflage. Look beyond that stuff and you'll see that all of the guys are educated, intelligent and employed (science & engineering). All of the marriages in the cast (thus far) are of the traditional variety - no rainbow coalition garbage. One of the couples has had two children - with no turkey baster required.
So although the premise of the previous article seems absurd to *me*, I understand that a normal guy like me wasn't the target of the writer. That righteous socially-aware tirade may have impressed a few weirdos, but most readers just pointed and laughed.
“Made intelligent people look like dorks, misfits and limp-wrists.”
You mean they looked like your typical bunch of university faculty?
I tried watching this some years ago, to see what all the hype was about. The extremely obvious, loud and annoying laugh track made unwatchable after 2 or 3 minutes - if THAT long.
Still, that was time to notice the jokes did not match the hilarity level of said laugh track.
I don’t understand how people find this show entertaining.
At this time I can’t remember the last comedy I watched on Network TV.
Lost its charm years ago
The reruns will be on for the next 20 years.
