For starters, we wish to return to only legally authorized people to be in the United States.
Following on that, we need a complete freeze on immigration for at least 30 years.
I’m willing to entertain martial related immigration, as long as it DOES NOT include chain immigration.
We need to put a lid on this travesty that is now our immigration practices.

You mean marital? That's what some people in the Trump Administration and conservative members of Congress have been working on besides ending the diversity lottery and other things. Nuclear family only for those who marry Americans--not extended family. Looks fair and practical to me.
But the Democrats in Congress have refused to even negotiate about it so far.
