Iowa student killed by Mexican who was in US illegally, Iowa official says

The body of Mollie Tibbetts, the University of Iowa student who has been missing for weeks, has been found. An Iowa official said the suspect in custody in Tibbetts' death is being held on a federal immigration detainer. Authorities charged 24-year-old Cristhian Bahena Rivera with first-degree murder.

U.S. Senators Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst of Iowa released the following statement regarding the announcement. “We are deeply saddened that this bright, young woman’s life was cut short. Our heart goes out to the family and friends of Mollie Tibbetts. No family should ever have to endure such a tragedy, especially one that could have been prevented. We are thankful for the hard work of Governor Reynolds and federal, state and local law enforcement as they continue to find answers for Mollie’s family and the American public and bring the killer to justice. As Governor Reynolds said, ‘our immigration system allowed a predator like this to live in our community.’ Too many Iowans have been lost at the hands of criminals who broke our immigration laws. We cannot allow these tragedies to continue.”

They have been instructed to remove illegal aliens with criminal records and with removal orders.
They have stepped up enforcement actions against businesses.

And guess what is just coming out tonite. The ag business that employed this illegal is a big shot Republican. Just lost in the primary for Iowa Sec. of Ag. Was head of the Iowa Farm Bureau (which owns the Iowa Legislature) and was on the Iowa Board of Regents (which runs the State Universities).

One can bitch about Democrats and their sucking up to illegals, but quite often, just like here, is high dollar Republicans are the ones hiring the illegals.

One involves a turncoat screwball lawyer and the other is decades-old tax-evasion that has nothing to do with Russia or President Trump.
