Milano posted the picture of herself in the signature red cloak and white hat associated with handmaids, the oppressed women from Margaret Atwoods 1987 novel and the hit Hulu television show.
Never Kavanaugh, Never Gilead, Milanos sign read, referencing the dystopian nation that has overtaken the U.S., in which women have been stripped of reproductive autonomy.
The costume has become a popular form of protest among activists supporting womens reproductive rights.
Critics of the Trump administration have drawn comparisons between the fictional regime running Gilead and the administrations rhetoric on abortion, LGBTQ rights and religious freedom.
Atwood said earlier this year that the U.S. was becoming more Gilead-like under Trump.
Milano is in Phoenix, Ariz., participating in the Rise Up for Rose tour named in honor of the landmark Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion.
The 10-city, 14-day coast-to-coast tour is organized to call out the threat to the constitutional right to safe, legal abortion that Kavanaughs nomination poses to women across the country, a press release said.
The group is teaming up with the Demand Justice Initiative, NARAL Pro-Choice America and Planned Parenthood Action Fund.
Abortion rights groups fear that Kavanaugh could take a more conservative stance on abortion as he would replace swing-vote Justice Anthony Kennedy.
Who’s the boss? Trump of course.
Alyssa living rent free again on FR.
Imagine how bad you feel....I wanted to bang the guy from Wonder Years until I realized I wasn’t a fag.
Imagine how...
LOL
Too much airbrushing.
You ever tried to lick that much airbrushing off?
Geez.
Oh I’m already considering stocking up on popcorn in advance but let me posit an even juicier Leftist meltdown scenario.
What if the “wise latina” were to croak from her Type I Diabetes in the next year? She’s already been hospitalized for it once in the last year. That would be one of the Gang of 4 out...and she’s only the 3rd oldest one of those 4.
Sooner or later the embalming fluid will give out and the odor of RBG’s decay will be impossible to hide any longer.
The NERVE of that Hollywood “ho” ! She’s been had by half of all the guys and I’d bet, some of the gals in Hollyweird !!
“You ever tried to lick that much airbrushing off?”
For her I would make the effort. :)
If they wanted to symbolize the religion that oppressed women, they would wear burqas.
Dream on.
Most of these gals think that cooking and f***ing are a couple of cities in China.
Next scene; Alyssa dresses up as Snow White. Puffed sleeves, petticoat under the Prom Gown and all.
Yeah, collar her with The Cone of Shame and then get a pic. LOLOLOLOL
Anti-Christian Bigot.
Or just a collar. That’d be fine.
Kavanaugh is apparently a Bushie.
It’s difficult to get too excited about him.
He’s no Scalia, Thomas, Alito.
Ok, you do you.
It help any if I spank your ass a bit while I’m here....or prolly just should leave.
LOL
Celebrity infatuation. My brain doesn’t do that. You’re funny.
Bimbette.
I objectify her...
I’d go all Vampire on that...
Worse than a moron. A full-on Nazi.
