I predicted at the beginning Manafort was gonna walk. He will.
If Mueller can't get a conviction on this, he's done. Thanks sitetest.
Spot on comment btw.
Not really. If someone says it's possible that an alien from outer space committed an act that could be a doubt. While that sounds silly who is to say we don't have aliens from outer space doing things? That would be a possible doubt but it would not be a "reasonable doubt"
Oh they want him to die in prison for sure..and they want Trump assassinated too, they want everyone associated with Trump and all of us dead, because we dared go against what the commie media wanted
Admittedly, I’ve trolled them as the Manafort tags were arriving.
Not a single one engaged to argue a point.
Twitter roughness is overrated. Most can’t argue a single point out of a paper bag. They are just sore losers and upset the Russia Collusion Hoax is imploding.
Isnt it up to the jury to determine what reasonable doubt is?
No.
I was on a criminal jury and we had to ask the judge.
Well they are gonna pretend to be impartial, it would be too obvious if they returned with a verdict within 5 min
He is probably guilty but is ONLY prosecuted for his 2 months of involvement in the Trump campaign! For that reason and only that reason I hope he skates! Let him pay whatever civil penalties he may be assessed!
At one point it was stated that the counts could garner Manafort about 400 years in prison. It may have been 300 and something years.
To me that looked more like blackmail than an honest attempt to see justice done.
Keeping Manafort in solitary seemed to verify that.
In all honesty I would hate to be a juror on this trial. I wouldnt be able to know whether someone is guilty or innocent cause I dont understand the details of the case and I would be bored to death.

Not to mention that our “justice” system is so utterly corrupt that if you vote to acquit Manafort you’d have to be afraid the KGB - um, I mean “justice” department will knock down your door at 2 in the morning and drag you off to solitary in some prison far away then threaten to lock you up for the rest of your life for something someone said they heard you might have done in 10th grade.
Yep... I have THAT little faith in them.
>>That would be a SHELL company.<<
Humor sorta shot past you there, didn’t it?
:)
As the defense noted, no bank had brought any charges or actions of fraud against Manafort until the Feds showed up.
If he is convicted of charges, he will still have a sentencing hearing.
Trump would wait until after mid terms for any pardoning.
He is essentially claiming that he hired Gates to take care of all his finances, and he - Manafort - trusted Gates to be completely honest.
Most jurors are not going to accept the claim that Manafort - an intelligent, well educated, worldly, 60 year old man - paid no attention to the $60 million he earned from the Ukraine government.
Yes great comment, but I would bet that some on the jury have it and the majority are not happy about it.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Straws? Did you say 'straws'?? If straws are involved, somebody has got to be guilty!
Reasonable doubt probably was defined in the jury charge but someone on the jury wants it repeated. I think Manafort walks.
