Over the past six years, Lane Fury has collected more than $185,000 in family money. Eventually, Fury stands to inherit roughly $6 million, but the 27-year-old doesn’t see this good fortune as a positive thing.
“I don’t actually want it,” says Fury. “There is this sense of shame or embarrassment, like maybe some of the problems in the world are my fault, so I shouldn’t really be open about [my wealth].”
While many people struggle to pay the bills and make ends meet, those lucky enough to have family money say they have problems of their own. Fury says having a trust fund is alienating and can lead to feelings of loneliness, guilt, depression and confusion.

I am willing to alleviate his burden an take it all upon myself.
I should have such problems.
Then please give it to the poor.
But somehow I doubt he will and will continue to just talk about how bad he feels about having all this money...
My advice to the author:
Resolve not to touch it until your mid-40’s. By then, you’ll know if you deserve it or if it will be wasted on you.
If you can’t stand on your own by then, you’ll need it, AND it will be wasted on you.
If he wishes to unburden himself of this financial embarrassment, I know a worthy disabled couple he could donate to.
$30,000 a year is near poverty level.
$6,000,000 won’t even buy you a decent house in California.
There are no laws against Libs just sending in more money to the Feds. But they never do. Otherwise they’d be telling us every day.
Wisely managing a trust fund is probably the nicest thing you can do to honor your parents and ancestors who worked hard and paid taxes to provide that opportunity.
That the writer experiences all these negative emotions is quite sad, really. She should be filled with gratitude and looking at ways to prudently manage her wealth for the long term.
That’s my way-out liberal friend who will travel all over the world while complaining that it contributes to the Global Warming she claims will destroy the world.
She has even reached out to space aliens to help us combat GW. She just got back from Europe.
Worse, she’s channeling her money to “social justice” causes. A head full of mush.
Give it to me and I promise I’ll pretend to be miserable.
Why doesnt he go to Kenya, help the economy, and buy a nice grass hut?

If you are feeling guilty about being rich, Elizabeth Warren & Co. will gladly take your money from you. It will make them very happy, as they grab power by using it to buy the votes of The Poor.
I can do a lot of pretending with that amount of scratch.
