Morgana King, a boldly original jazz singer with a four-octave voice and dramatic stage presence who was perhaps better known for portraying Marlon Brandos wife in the first two Godfather movies, died March 22 in Palm Springs, Calif. She was 87.
Her death, which had not previously been reported, was confirmed by the Riverside County coroners office. A representative from the office said the cause was non-Hodgkins lymphoma.

Damn. First Aretha Franklin. Then Juice Newton. Now this.
What happened to Juice Newton?
It was her brother, the famous pastry chef.
I think his name was Fig.
March and their just now finding out?
Im a huge fan of I and II. Ive always found myself wishing she had a bigger part. What, did she have about 100 words total?
First Isaac, then Fig...This is horrible!
Damn, she was only 40 when she played the mother in The Godfather, she seemed like such an older woman. She was actually only 5 years older than Fredo (John Cazale - son) and 1 year older than Tom (Robert Duvall - adopted son) in real life. :-)
“Don’t interfere.”
#4. I knew their other brother Isaac. Well, people say I’m as old as the hills so since there is no one else around from back then, I knew Isaac. Prove otherwise. Oh, by the way, the apple was delicious.
Is cousin Wayne OK??
Last I heard, OK. Danke schoen for asking.
Just more poor writing. She did not play Marlon Brando’s wife. She played Don Corleone’s wife.
Get it right you dopes. Is journalism even taught anymore? They are too busy learning about social justice and global warming to learn how to write in journalism school.

I was just about to post the same thing. I HATE that. It’s just lazy, and the thought that having the actor’s name in the headline is more useful than the character’s name.
As if “The Godfather” isn’t one of the most famous movies of all time and people will have no idea what you’re talking about unless Brando’s name is used. Ridiculous.
Mama mia! That’sa spicy meata balla!
Brian Williams says he ate the apple.
What! Juice Newton - Noooooooo
Touché!
