Dinesh D'Souza's new documentary Death of a Nation seems to be unfortunately collapsing at the box office.
It has lost 20% of the theaters in just its second week, and is doing about half as well as "2016 Obama's America" did at this point in that movie's life.
Click on the link and see the consistent daily drop-off in box office receipts. It opened on more than 1000 theaters, it is now in slightly over 800.

I wouldn’t worry about it. It’s not exactly the kind of movie crowds flock to or brag about seeing around the water cooler.
Limited audience for that movie at theater prices. Honestly, it was not very good. We saw it last weekend but it was rather disjointed. His premise was fine, but even die hard conservatives are going to shy away from a movie that compares the Democratic Party to the Nazis, no matter how apt the descriptions.
Kind of a downer title.
Democrats, KKK and Nazis? Hardly touching modern touchstones. I myself have no interest in it. A film on the 1965 immigration act’s impact or the Great Society’s disaster would have been more topical, and help move Blacks to our side.
At this point he is about where Hannity’s movie was and looks to a total of about $8-9m with DVD sales, or profitable by a little.
Each DD movie does less well than the last, but if he gets to $9 he should be able to raise $$ for another.
Rotten Tomatoes which reviews movies gives it a 0 (zero) rating on a 1-10 scale. Totally biased and criminal!
IMDB (Internet Movie Data Base) same thing.
But viewers’ rating and comments are 100% positive.
Some bright lawyers must MUST come up with a way to challenges all this bias, against Political Adversaries, Against White People, etc. Anti-trust? 14th amendment?
Hell White people are a small minority of world’s population. Think about it.
Of course the Justice Dept is totally castrated. Freedom Watch and ACLJ is all we have.
Ratings & Reviews
0 - Frank Scheck: The Hollywood Reporter For all of its incendiary arguments, Death of a Nation is ultimately tedious and repetitive. No one expects, of course, that D'Souza would make a thoughtful, balanced or historically accurate documentary. But is it unreasonable to hope that he make one that doesn't bore the pants off us? show more

The only thing preventing me from dubbing this one of the dumbest movies of any type that I have ever seen in my life is the fact that I am not entirely certain that something as shabbily constructed and artistically bankrupt as this actually qualifies as a movie in the first place. show more
25 - Roger Moore: Movie Nation
Throughout Death of a Nation, which has the usual attacks on Clintons and George Soros and the third act patriotic performances by DSouza approved singers, even an African American choir, the man finds himself coddling Nazis.
With libtard entities giving reviews like this - which contrast sharply with reviews given by conservative radio broadcasters- who would go to see it?

No thank you, I don’t need to have the government any more involved in regulating speech than it already is. I’ll stick with the 1st amendment and take the free market which so far is supporting our point of view quite well.
Free and fair elections would be even better, that we all have to work on.
Since Trump the majority of the country finally has some hope to save this country from a very corrupt government and their media/leftist associates. So trying to peddle a movie in this era called, “Death of a Nation” is probably is going to flop.
He either did not actually see the movie or he's lying. I'll go with lying.
The title sure doesn’t help.
i liked the movie but it was just a tad 2 long. could have cut out both musical numbers.
I hope D'Souza sees these comments.
If you enjoyed his previous movies, this one wont dissappoint.
DSouza opens the door for other documentaries to be made.
He should do one called Fake News that exposes the MSM. Theres enough material there to do a series.
I dont think anyone expects these to be barn-burners. If only because half of the potential audience wont see it because their world-view would be destroyed if they did.
It will do well in DVD/BR sales. I am not much of a theater person thanks to my nice HT set up, so I will just order the BR.
Aren’t those on the left (like Democrats) always demanding that everyone apologize for whatever sin they’re being accused of? It’s about time everyone becomes aware of the MANY sins of the Dem Party, & we should demand they acknowledge them & beg forgiveness. Or better yet, disband. This country would be better off if they did.
Most movies do drop significantly after the first or second week, usually in the 30-50% range. That’s why studios get the maximum percentage of shared 1st week ticket revenue. The theaters get an ever increasing percentage in the weeks that follow.
As other people said, this movie is built for expected home sales to achieve eventually profitability.
I saw it on Saturday.
