Oh the old MFL, that was one of the funniest Comedic acts ever. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BerJdS2VJhA

What’s Kaepernik doing for money these days? Does he have any endorsements? Does he get paid to make SJW speeches? Somehow I doubt he’s smart enough to have invested the millions he made when he was playing football.

Not watching the NFL. Long time Cowboys and Patriots fan. No more. If your sport can’t respect our country, your sport does not deserve my respect or attention or time or money. Bummer, man.

It wasn’t just the kneelers, but their support from team members, coaches, owners and the NFL.

There is nothing they can do to get me back. I know how they feel.

When I was a little children, I never thought I would stop watching the MFL.

No agony here, I use the day to go out and do something with my daughter now. It’s a better way to go anyway.

The NFL chose to showcase hatred of my country.

I chose not to watch.

Not one minute since 2015.

When the Denver Donkey players took a knee, I changed the channel and have not watched since.

Me too, and will call them again this year to remind them of that.

For a boycott to be impactful, lowering the price of the product, should not break the boycott.

I wonder if the NFL will be around in ten years. You’ve already got a lot of suburban moms saying “no” to football. What happens when HS and college programs can’t get affordable insurance because of the injury issue? What happens when some schools drop their teams? What happens when the next generation doesn’t build their autumn weekends around watching an NFL game? What happens as the sissified rules and the stuff like pink ribbons for breast cancer get too annoying to even bother with football anymore? When are whites going to get fed up with being badgered into submission by racist black players? etc

Like many Freepers, and many Americans for that matter,Obola failed to impoverish me as part of his grand plan to make just about everyone dependent on government.

Because of this failure I can afford cars higher up on the food chain than Kias.I can also afford Carribean vacations, nice electronic devices and nice furniture.

However,I'll never again see ads for such things on NFL broadcasts because I REFUSE to be exposed to Marxist politics before, during or after a game.

It's not complicated....it's not rocket science.I simply refuse to be exposed to it.

Do you hear that,NFL owners? Do you hear that, companies that advertise during NFL games?

There is no boycott.

A boycott would imply that the fans who have stopped watching NFL games will come back if they are satisfied that something has changed for the better.

I'd venture to guess that at least 95% of the fans who claim they are participating in a "boycott" are never coming back no matter what. Once they've found other things to do on a Sunday afternoon, they're not coming back.

Two observations

1. The author is a drama queen who is not a very good writer. Reminds me of those teen Tiger Beat articles "agonizing" over which makeup to wear.

2. I'm will you Bill - no more boycott here either. I made choice years ago and the NFL will not get me back....

Totally agree. Never a big NFL watcher but what little I did watch it, I won’t anymore, no matter what else happens.

the action or practice of publicly expressing opinions or sentiments intended to demonstrate one’s good character or the moral correctness of one’s position on a particular issue.

Humm...

I don't think my post meets that criteria

If you had only stated that you were going to continue watching the NFL because you liked it, it wouldn't have been virtue-signalling. But, ironically, it is your accusation of "virtue-signalling" against everyone else that is your virtue-signalling. Your implication is that everyone else's opinion is due to bad behavior or a character flaw, while you are above that sort of thing, and you went out of your way to point your superiority out. Virtue-signalling at its finest.

But for now, taxpayers usually vote for stadium deals.

You are correct. Taxpayers usually vote for stadium deals.

However, I will take this opportunity to proudly point out that the voters of the City of San Diego rejected taxpayer funding of a new stadium for the Chargers in November 2016. The Chargers then moved to Los Angeles in 2017.
