ATLANTA - A former Georgia Congressional candidate has been charged with murder after her former campaign treasurer was found dead inside her apartment.
Kellie Collins, of Thomason, turned herself into the McDuffie County Sheriff’s Office just as authorities in Aiken County, South Carolina found the body of Curtis Cain, Collins’ former campaign treasurer.
Investigators said Cain did not show up for work on Tuesday, so deputies went to his home to check on him. That’s when they found him dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
The coroner said the body had been there for at least four days.
Authorities said Cain’s Subaru Legacy was also missing.
Collins has been charged with grand larceny in addition to murder.
In 2017, Collins ran as a Democrat against incumbent Rep. Jody Hice, a Republican, for Georgia’s 10th District. She ultimately dropped out of the race, citing personal reasons.
During the race, she touted her support for responsible gun regulation to protect the community.
She is a Democrat! It was clearly a misfire , or a hang fore, it was an accident!/S
It was a teachable moment. She was showing how guns were bad.

Either way, sleeping with the campaign treasurer can lead to trouble. Especially for him.

There’s a cheap and (relatively) easy scholarly publication on media bias available to anyone with access to Nexis-Lexis: just pick a time period, analyze all the stories on political scandals, and determine how deep into the story it takes before the word “Republican” appears for a GOP scandal, and how deep into the story it takes before the word “Democrat” appears for a donkeycrat scandal.
Of course, your comment is an indication that we all know the general pattern that study would document.

I am in Tallahassee, which has two major universities and a number of smaller universities and community colleges. The federal, state, county and city governments are hosted here. The city has actively discouraged businesses from locating here, so the cars you see on the streets are almost entirely from the liberal classes. It seems every sixth car is a Subaru Legacy. Many of the students and lesser professors drive other model Subaru’s. I always read the inevitable bumper stickers. The stickers infest Subaru’s in a way they rarely do on other makes. I have never seen a conservative view or politician hosted on the back of a Subaru. Generally, they are about saving something...whales, endangered species, the planet, etc. Often, there is a Coexist sticker.
Funny story. There was a Subaru in the parking lot where I worked featuring a bumper sticker saying, “Free Tibet.” I talked to the owner and he went into a long diatribe over how he had chosen this statement over a save the environment sticker. It was a long and, to me, startling representation of the political thought that went into what statement he wanted the car to make about him. He didn’t want the sameness of all the other Subaru stickers to reflect on him. On questioning, he had no idea where Tibet was or why it needed freeing. (I managed not to laugh.)
They believe what they espouse but what they espouse is for other people, not for themselves.
Just another shining example of how unhinged and violent Democrats really are.
I actually like Subarus (no apostrophe here) but I would not be seen in one or even touching one, same way I once felt about Volvos.
