The liberal media cheered Ilhan Omar’s DFL primary victory in 2016 in Minneapolis.

Ilhan Omar won a historic victory over 44-year incumbent DFL Rep. Phyllis Kahn.

Ilhan Omar built a vast coalition of East African voters to defeat the incumbent in Minneapolis.

The liberal media forgot to mention Ilhan was married to her brother.

Maybe. She’s going up against a couple of big time hitters in the Dem primary this upcoming Tuesday.

Her opponents have been raising money and campaigning pretty hard.

I used to live in the 5th District. In 2006, I crossed over and voted in the Dem primary just so I could keep Keith Ellison from winning. I voted for a Dem who only made me sick 95% of the time as opposed to Ellison making me sick 110% of the time.

But alas, that didn’t happen. Ellison won with a plurality of the vote.

You forgot to mention Ronald Reagan, who publicly campaigned for and signed the IRCA Amnesty in 1986.

IRCA is the gift that keeps on giving...

They don't "work" like you work. They grow accustomed to the power. They like being players. They like being courted. And they accumulate staff to do all the real work.

If we want to clean the Augean stables, there are several good places to start. The growth of staff is one. City councilmen in large cities have staff. State reps have staff. Get rid of them. Make their excellencies do their own work.

The reason I checked out. Initially, they were bringing in mostly decent people from the south of the country who were darker and non Muslim. Most were at least willing to work at whatever jobs were available.

Omar says she legally married Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, a British citizen, in 2009. The conservative Power Line blog alleges the man is her brother and that it was a potential sham marriage to help the brother with immigration into the United States.

“Insinuations that Ahmed Nur Said Elmi is my brother are absurd and offensive,” Omar said in the statement.

My wife used to work for WIC (Women-Infant-Children) providing food (welfare) for poor people. Every few years a bunch of immigrants were located here by the government from whatever hellhole was popular at the time. They were all given directions where to go to sign up for all kinds of welfare.

Luckily, most of them left (moved elsewhere in the US) within a year. A LOT of them went to Minnesota. The reason was that Minnesota gave a LOT more welfare that our state did.

We knew Minnesota. We moved out of there in the late 1970’s because it was too liberal even way back then.
