Lawyers representing the Democratic National Committee (DNC) on Friday served transparency advocates WikiLeaks with a lawsuit via Twitter, accusing the site of working with the Trump campaign and Russia to swing the 2016 election in President Trump's favor.
The move came Friday after CBS News reports multiple attempts by DNC lawyers to serve legal documents to WikiLeaks representatives by email were met with no response.
The DNC was one of multiple Democratic organizations hacked during the 2016 election, with the resulting emails and documents posted on WikiLeaks. The U.S. intelligence community believes Russia was behind the breach, with the intention of helping to elect Trump.
Wikileaks tweeted in April suggesting that the organization had received the DNC's lawsuit, calling it frivolous, and it has reportedly not responded to any direct attempts at communication from DNC attorneys.
"WikiLeaks seems to tweet daily," the DNC noted in a court filing, according to CBS.
The subpoena served Friday deals with a suit filed earlier this year in Manhattan.
Proof will be required to win. There is none. Zip, zero, nada.
This is just a frivolous, vexacious lawsuit The “defendants” should move for all costs in defending this and for sanctions against the plaintiff’s attorneys.
I wonder what, exactly, they are suing.
“In 2010, Assange said the organisation was registered as a library in Australia, a foundation in France, and a newspaper in Sweden, and that it also used two United States-based non-profit 501c3 organisations for funding purposes.” (from Wikipedia)
Is service of a lawsuit by email or Twitter allowed now? This sounds crazy.
Maybe this will piss Assange off enough to go ahead and drop the beans on the alleged DNC hack.
His name was Seth Rich
All the DNC is doing is reminding the masses 3 months before the mid-terms what was allegedly learned from the DNC stolen data -— that the DNC rigs their own primaries. That’s the way more important part of the story, not how word of it leaked out.
If ya can't find 'em, ya can't serve 'em
Many think the DNC had a hand in Seth Rich's death, including a recent 'former' DNC head (I can't remember her name).
As I recall, she was in fear of her life because of the murder of Seth Rich.
Link to WikiPedia article on Seth Rich:
Serving a lawsuit by 140 characters at a time would be tedious. And spiteful.
Careful DNC. Assange knows who supplied the eMails (Seth Rich). And they probably also know who had him murdered (Hillary).
Just how desperate is the DNC?
Exactly what evidence do the DNC lawyers plan to present to a court of law?
Robert Mueller has been trying to find the evidence to prove this for over a year and a half, and has come up with zilch.
Maybe the DNC lawyers can share with him, or maybe they're just filing a trash lawsuit, because they don't have anything either.
This may prove to be a monumentally stupid move.
Discovery?
Adam Waldman, a lobbyist working for Oleg Deripaska (a Russian oligarch who is good buddies with Putin) also works with...Christopher Steele...and visited Julian Assange in the Ecuadorian Embassy NINE times in 2017!
(There is speculation that Assange is Bruce Ohr's "Our Guy" based on thie excellent Jeff Carlson article at TheMarketsWork:
Is Julian Assange Our Guy)
And...Adam Walman who is connected to these people above, was also texting...Sen. Mark Warner on the Intelligence Committee.
How can anyone look at this and not see absolute corruption and conspiracy going on?
With a complicit, seditious, scumsucking enemedia, they prolly just figure it'll make another good attack headline for all their rabid 'readers' .. a keep bangin' that drum sorta thing.
What’s the crime? Collusion? Still?
If Mueller has found anything you can be sure he leaked it to the DNC, Hillary, the media and his mother.
The Democrats would surely know before we did. That being said, I think they are bluffing with this frivolous BS.
This guy Adam Waldman was texting extensively to Bruce Ohr at the DOJ.
Meanwhile, Seth is still dead
