An Atlanta charter school headed into the new school year by telling students and staff not to recite the Pledge of Allegiance in the morning - but instead the "Wolf Pack Chant."
Atlanta Neighborhood Charter School announced on Tuesday it will be eliminating the Pledge of Allegiance from its morning agenda to make the institution more inclusive.

"There are many emotions around this and we want everyone in our school family to start their day in a positive manner. After all, that is the whole purpose of our morning meeting," Zelski said.

The Atlanta charter school isn't the first to eliminate the Pledge of Allegiance. Bedford Area School District in southcentral Pennsylvania said in April it will not require students to stand for the pledge. School officials cited the students' First Amendment rights as their reason.

Are you extmrly covfefed about it?
But that's the only 1st amendment right they have. Well, that and the right to go get an abortion.
So it’s a collectivist theme. No surprise there.
When I went to grade school in New York, the Pledge, and basic public schooling, were seen as things which united a diverse group of Italian, Irish, Southern Black, Jewish, Puerto Rican, Lebanese and Greek students into at least one common identity separate from their diverse personal identities.
No one was exempt - and no parent would want their child to be exempt.
Might I recomend these items from the Cub Scouts:
Cub Scout Promise
I, (say your name), promise
to DO MY BEST
To do my DUTY to GOD
And my Country
To HELP other people, and
To OBEY the LAW of the Pack
Law of the Pack
The Cub Scout follows Akela.
The Cub Scout helps the pack go.
The pack helps the Cub Scout grow.
The Cub Scout gives goodwill.
Cub Scout Motto
DO YOUR BEST
EDUCATION is the enemy, and has been for a long long time.
That place is total Lefty Land. Trendy in-towners founded the school because they did not want their precious little ones going to classes in majority-black Atlanta public schools. Of course, they wanted SOME black kids—but only carefully selected ones. That’s what they mean by diversity.
Evil reigns and many who think they are Americans are no more. Should be treated accordingly. No government assistance of any kind.
When I was in elementary and jr high school we recited the Pledge.
“I have to confess I dont even know what the wolf pack chant is.”
Me too. But wouldn’t it be VERY EXCLUSIVE of vegans? Wouldn’t “The Rabbit Chant” - which I also don’t know but assume would sound like a bunch of people with sniffles - be less...predatorial?
Coy-ote whine?
Why not the pledge of allegiance to BLM?
Well stated.
Is that a Kipling poem?
So. Their “puppy dog” oath gives their mind and soul and arms and teeth (weapons) to the “pack” - with no freedom at all to the individual?
Turns out this is NOT what happened... at all. FReepers- here is the statement from the School Chairwoman.

This one?
This was taken from “The Second Jungle Book”, and was part of the acceptance of feral human child into the Wolf Pack.
Kipling did write a lot of doggerel poetry, but there were some fine points of ideology buried in many of his lines.
Kids are too young to be offended...The goal is to remove any and all seeds of American patriotism in those young minds, so when they get a little older they can easily be manipulated to become good 'global citizens'...
