A Green Party candidate for Congress in Ohio's nail-biter contest who won nearly enough votes to throw the race into an automatic recount gave a speech-slurred interview this year in which he couldn't remember his own website address.
Joe Manchik also says he's descended from aliens and hails from the town of Hell, Michigan.
In Tuesday's closely watched special election, 1,127 Ohioans chose him over Republican Troy Balderson and Democrat Danny O'Connor.

Excuse me but, SURname sounds sexist...please use SH or IT
He wasn’t a “spoiler” at all. Balderson still would have won if all 1,127 votes Manchik got went to O’Connor.
This reads like one of those election articles that they wrote before the election and had to edit it quickly when the election did not go how they expected. If all of his voters had voted for the Democrat instead it would “almost” have been enough to force an automatic recount.
Like my father used to say, almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.
If this guy got 1100 votes and Balderson won by 1800, then it doesn’t matter. Do the math, dems, you lose anyway.
The media is eliminating him as a factor in the rematch in three months. They are doing what they can to increase the chances O’Connor wins the full term.
Little green men?!
There is no way Republican turnout in the general election is going to be as low as 40%. Not unless Balderson gets caught hitting on 14-year old girls at the mall or something.
We have witnessed Peak Democrat here.
Pelosi had a cousin in Ohio who was running? Who knew ?
Cue the “It was aliens” guy.
I hope he runs again in November so he can suck more votes from the Democrat candidate.
Just wondering. I'm not worried about this or anything like that.
Do you know if his family tree is public or private, by the way?
“who won nearly enough votes to throw the race into an automatic recount” ... but didn’t ACTUALLY win enough to even force an automatic recount, much less affect the outcome ... in other words, complete nonsense ...
The planet Stupider.
Some one needs to teach math to morons in the Fake News. Add the Green vote to the D and they STILL lose.
