The hacking collective Anonymous is pledging to expose the people behind the "QAnon" conspiracy theory.
The anarchist hacking group slammed the QAnon conspiracy as potentially dangerous and driven by a "brainless political agenda" in a video posted Sunday to what is widely considered the most reliable Anonymous Twitter account.
"We will not sit idly by while you take advantage of the misinformed and poorly educated," the group said in the video, which was posted with the hashtags #OpQ and #OpQAnon.
The video depicts various figures with Anonymous masks acting out certain aspects of the QAnon conspiracy against a constant backdrop of the letter "Q."
The video claims that Anonymous "knew who was responsible for Q" and thought it was funny at first. However, the group now believes the conspiracy theory has gone too far.
"Someone is going to get hurt, so we have to put our foot down and start some shit with you all," the group said in the video.
QAnon shifted into the spotlight after numerous attendees at President Trump's rally in Florida last week held Q-shaped cutouts and posters alluding to the conspiracy theory.

The media attacks on Q are simply a piece part of a cabal blitz on inconvenient information which is underway TODAY, Monday August 6 2018. The field of action presently includes all major social media. Soon it will be extended to web hosting and cable providers. They can't compete with contrary information, so they feel compelled to just shut it all down.
Unfortunately there are many here who won't wake up to what's really happening until this forum no longer can be hosted on the Internet. They won't get the chance to apologize.
This could drive a bunch of folks to read the Q posts, if only to prove everything is wrong.
Until they re-discover their natural discernment and ability to think.
I only worry about the BLM’s and Antifa larping and pretending to be Q types, so the media can broadcast a negative image and supress the Anon’s and bakers

If they can prove it’s fake, which I think it is, then go ahead. If there is someone fake behind Q Anon, then it would be good that person or persons is/are exposed.

I’ve talked to the lodge president and various members over the years. They’re all nice guys, but seem strangely detached over their maintenance issues. If the bank owned their building, they could more easily be compelled toward the necessary measures.

Last I heard from Anonymous, they were fighting over whether they were going to destroy Hillary or Trump.

I found Q’s immediate defense of small differences in the photos weak. It was also revealing that after this Q anti-proof, Q stopped posting for over 3 weeks so that devotees would forget about the obvious problem and be glad for more posts.
I am by no means anti-Q, but cautiously watching. There are some Q posts that appear to be verifiable inside knowledge. That doesn’t mean they all are. “Disinformation is real.”
