For the first time in 25 years, the International Republican Institute will have a new leader. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), who is battling brain cancer, has decided to step down from his role as chairman of the board of the organization, which for decades he has helped to fight for democracy, freedom, civil society, the rule of law and human rights around the world.
McCain’s handoff to IRI’s next chairman, Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska), is not a signal that McCain’s health is declining. In fact, several McCain associates say his condition hasn’t changed in recent months and he remains actively involved in his Senate work from his home near Sedona, Ariz. But McCain felt an obligation to help usher in an orderly transition at IRI, to ensure the long-term health and strength of the organization.
McCain recommended Sullivan to succeed him as chairman and his former foreign policy adviser Randy Scheunemann to replace former congressman Jim Kolbe (R-Ariz.) as vice chairman in a July 24 letter to the board. New board members will also include Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.), Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) and former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney (R), who is expected to be elected the next junior senator from Utah in November.

That’s the headeline that I am waiting for.
There needs to be some means for the people to serve and enforce a writ of habeas corpus. Produce the office holder in person or vacate the office.
A group of republican senators including Rand Paul and Senator Kennedy need to make a trip to Sedona to call on Senator McCain to see how he is doing. Seriously. His staff could be running things and that is cheating the American people.
We need a full report on his condition
Damn! I saw “John McCain Passes...” and got all excited.
The GOP & Dim duopoly created, through Congress, two “Institutes”, allegedly for “pomoting democracy” and these “institutes” get funds from the state department budget.
They are nothing other than mechanisms for the Democratic Party and the RINOs to conduct foreign policy on their own.
They should be shut down.
The great John McCain. Passed the torch like he passed that fake dossier to Comey. Or aiding and abiding communist Nam. What a fraud.

Bush League Republicans hell bent of making America into North Mexico.
I’ve been suspecting the same for awhile.
John McCain: subverting foreign governments & fomenting conflicts since 1993.
Kinda doubt it fosters the republican form of national governments around the world.
Now we see the connection to all the RINO influence.
Now the good news is its clear outside of McCain’s staff, his support group is very small.
Take out McCain and Linda and the house of cards will begin to fall.
“I’m beginning to think it’s possible that McCain is not dying, but hiding.”
That’s what I think. How do we even know if he has brain cancer? He doesn’t want to be indicted for his many crimes.
The official story is that McCain is alive and lucid; nothing to worry about.
Therefore asking questions like these, however sincere and justified, may brand you as a ‘conspiracy theorist’ nut.
