Reports: Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s Personal Driver For 20 Years Was A Chinese Spy
The Federalist ^ | August 3, 2018 | Bre Payton

Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s office was infiltrated by a Chinese spy who worked as her driver and attended official functions on her behalf for 20 years, according to new reports from Politico and The San Francisco Chronicle.

Feinstein reportedly had no idea that her office was being infiltrated by a man who was feeding information to an individual linked to China’s Ministry of State Security. She was “mortified” when the FBI showed up at her Washington DC office five years ago to warn her about the mole.

Feinstein, who was serving as chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee at the time, had access to classified intelligence that would be extremely valuable to the Chinese government. She forced her driver to resign shortly thereafter and did not tell her staff about the incident, according to an unnamed source cited in the Chronicle.

I read a book when I was in my teens called “Sleeping Giant”

I think also part of the title had Red China in it.

Yes, “exonerating” spin from DiFi’s local paper.

Totally misleading to make her look squeaky clean.

She’s as dirty as the Rosensteins and deserves the same punishment

Personally I hate it when my chauffeur spies for the Chinese while I'm trying to appear to be working for the working people. Thanks PA Engineer.

There is no Soviet Union anymore. So if she ever was, she is now an unemployed Soviet plant.

I'm very unclear of what the Rooskies want.

In the old daze they wanted an International Commie World.

Now that the Commie Utopia has been de-bunked, what possible interest do they have in the US?

“...she always had me make a left when we neared Cosco. It was one of her quirks. Like the time she yelled at me for slowing down for pedestrians at a school crossing...”

They want to replace her with an even further leftist because they want her to lose her senate seat.

He resigned is now enjoying a government pension. Really.

President Trump talked about it today during his stump speech.

The "occupation media" is still trying to bury this story.

I believe the unnamed source is part of the strategy to have Frankenfeinstein either bow out or lose the senate election.... or it really does goes much deeper.

That’s the part I like. She let him retire means the US taxpayers are paying him a pension

Mitch McConnell who is married to Chinese Elizabeth Chao has used his contacts to set up their sons with lucrative business arrangements with the Chinese government. John Kerry and Joe Biden have also done this type of family business deaing. Maybe tip of the iceberg in Congress.

Conservatively, we have about 80% of the FReepers on this thread shooting off in all directions like a bad batch of Chinese made bottle rockets, which unfortunately obscures some very important issues involved here, and questions regarding such. Some FREepers have touched on many; the questions that stand out to me are:

When my wife came here from overseas, to live with a “nobody” (me), as part of the legal immigration process she had to pass a FBI background check. What are the security precautions for those hired as Congressional staff, and in particular what are the precautions for staff serving Congress-critters on sensitive committees, and so on? This issue goes way beyond this particular episode. I as a citizen would DEMAND that anyone working for and in significant contact with a Congressperson on sensitive committees undergo yearly review, and for the Chairman/woman or ranking member on an Intelligence Committee, those precautions had better be as good as the requirements for top (top!) level security clearances. Anything less is sheer incompetence.

If checks were done, who signed off on them? The initial background check should have been done, I believe, by Bill Clinton’s FBI?

5 years ago, this was swept under the rug. Who in the FBI signed off on that?

We are told no sensitive information was passed on. Huh? We are supposed to believe anyone would admit any damage, at this point? “CYA” needs to be in 50 ft. tall letters tacked onto the Golden Gate Bridge.

Regardless of whether any information was passed on, if this guy was a Chinese “spy”, how the heck was he not prosecuted, and how in God’s name does he get a gov’t pension? Who all arranged for or signed off on that? Who all knew but kept quiet?

I’d say “no chance” this (spying by Congressional staff for foreign governments) is an isolated incident. I think we as citizens should demand by 8/7/2018 a press conference headed by Mitch McConnell, Kevin McCarthy, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi (oh, that should be interesting!) and Jeff Sessions, where an investigation to find other past offenses is launched, and steps to prevent future occurrences are also announced - an hour of questions from the press on only these subjects to follow.
.

This alone should disqualify Feinstein from ever holding public office again. The fact that she was this oblivious is terrible. Then one has to ask; was Diane really unaware, or had she decided to assist the Chinese in exchange for lucrative business favors for her husband?

Was she unaware? I don’t think so. Either way she is unfit for the position and an investigation is merited. I keep wondering if President Trump tariffs to China collapsed the house of cards.
