We’re going through “monsoon season” in Phoenix, which means that Mexican moisture comes up and causes dust storms followed by lightning and heavy rain. That also means that our humidity is high, which means that it feels like Georgia around here.

Yuk on the high humidity. We have extremely high heat, but low humidity, thank goodness!

I was at Fort Gordon (GA) when that came out, attending the Signal Officers Basic Course before my trip to Fort Lewis (WA). I had never been any farther south than Washington (DC), so it was quite a change for a skinny kid from Jersey.
