We were very naughty, and God punished us.

I hated the disco era because I can't walk and chew gum at the same time. Dancing was out of the question.

I preferred the Eighties because all I had to do was get drunk and move around a lot, something I call the Uncoordinated Freestyle. Still, when I was dating a black lady in the late Eighties, I got a critique from someone who knew what she was doing. Her words:

"You call that dancing, white boy?"

THE GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK

JEROME KERN

COVER GIRL: ”LONG AGO AND FAR AWAY”

The blind jazz pianist turned out a fine, dreamy take on the tune.

George Shearing: “Long Ago and Far Away”

Howdy, my!

Yes, ska is fun music and great to dance to. Or it was when I was young enough to do it. LOL

I don’t now how we got rap but it belongs in the crapper.

Howdy, MS.B! *HUGZ*

Nice to see you too. It’s been a while.

How’s that handsome feller, Tigermaus, doing these days?

Ouch!
LOL
I hated dancing with guys who would not set down their beer bottle, and hold it high over their heads, while merely stepping left and right.
Blargh!

I was a little better than that — but not by much.

He’s just fine and HUGH!
I haven’t weighed him for awhile, but a few months ago, he weighed about 13.5 LBS!

Sounds almost like a Maine Coon Cat, but after all, you’re in Maine.

He’s a hoss, alright. He’s still young enough to have a bit more growing to do.
Just pray he doesn’t get as huge as our Dexter who’s at a whoppin’ 22 pounds. Needless to say, he doesn’t get picked up and held. LOL

He looks EXACTLY like a Maine Coon Cat!
He’s a “mutt”, but a gorgeous one!
He’s a gray and black tiger with white around his nose and mouth, chest and paws.
He has some tan interspersed in the fur, too.

There are few careers in jazz that outlasted Grappelli. He wrote the book on jazz violin and was doing it in the Thirties in Paris with Django Reinhart on guitar. This is from 1987.

Stephane Grappelli: “Long Ago and Far Away”

I only saw a Maine Coon Cat once in my life. It was at a bed and breakfast in 1992 in Ashland (OR), and at first I thought it was a mountain lion.
