I finally found something Previn recorded in the Fifties when he was making a name for himself in jazz. This is from 1959. No one would have guessed that this child of the Hollywood studio system’s music departments would end up becoming one of the leading conductors of Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov in the business. He’s 89 and still at it.

One of the great instrumentals of the Sixties.
I'll be wrapping up Jerome Kern either next weekend or the weekend after that. And then it's on to Harry Warren and his 800 songs.
