RUSH: Man, oh, man. How do we outdo yesterdays program? Im not sure I can top it. And, folks, I have to tell you, I was I shouldnt admit this, but I had more butterflies than usual starting about two hours before the program because Im so uncomfortable. I really am. Im uncomfortable bringing the focus on me. I have no problem when other people do it, I just (sigh) Yet Im aware what a lot of people think. Thirty years is a significant achievement. So it was (exhale) It was pressure packed, and it turned out better than I thought it was going to turn out.
We mixed everything in there. Fabulous. We had a call from the president of the United States, which now the rest of the Drive-Bys are talking about and have been since it happened. We have audio sound bites of that, and I was thinking, How do I top that? I thought maybe today Id talk about Apple and talk about golf and talk about the NFL, and just stick it to the Stick-to-the-Issues Crowd. But then I realized the Stick-to-the-Issues Crowd probably didnt like half of yesterdays show. Not disliked it, just, Okay, okay. We get it. But move on, move on.
Anyway, 30 years behind us and we move on.
Thank you all for being with us today and yesterday and for the entirety of the 30 years.
In the presidential tracking poll at Rasmussen, the president has hit 50% approval. Now, the Drive-By Media and the Democrat Party do not recognize Rasmussen. They think its an outlier or it is a polling unit that is well, biased towards Trump, maybe biased toward Republicans. But it is a poll, and its a tracking poll and its been accurate. The Rasmussen people have been doing this kind of polling for years.
They have traditionally ranked in the top five, maybe even top three, when you get to presidential election polling and daily tracking polling. Their tracking poll for today shows 50% of likely U.S. voters approve of Trumps job performance; 49% disapprove. The latest figures include 35% who strongly approve of the way Trump is performing, 41% who strongly disapprove. The presidential approval index rating is minus 6.
So I dont expect youre going to see any of this reflected much if at all in the Drive-By Media today. But I wanted to pass it on to you because theyre going to know it. They will notice it. They will process it internally. They will curse it. It will affect the way they go about reporting on Trump today. It will, if possible, ratchet up their hatred.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: I got an email from Koko at the website. Hey, Rush, do you think its a coincidence that Trump bumps to 50% approval for the first time the day after he appears on your show? I didnt want to say it. Im trying to dial back the braggadocio. I didnt want to say it. But now that Koko has raised the possibility, how could I deny it? Its the one thing that Trump hasnt done. This was the first time hes appeared on the program. He appears on the program and bammo! He jumps up three points, maybe two, in the Rasmussen Daily Tracking poll.
Ill tell you something else: If you look at the candidates that Trump is backing
You know, on this program he said hes not sure if support for him will transfer to Republicans in the House races in November. Meaning he doesnt know what coattails hes going to have. Every Republican primary candidate that he has endorsed is winning or leading. In fact, CNN just had a little blurb on it saying, Trump-backed candidates are crushing it. So I would say that Trump has some coattails and hes going to be ratcheting up these rallies as we get close. He has another one scheduled today in Pennsylvania. This isnt over yet!
It was a great interview
On the way to 70% once people figure out, as it was said in A Christmas Carol, who the “founder” of the feast is.
Not to give Rush a hard time, Trump was over 50% for a long time > IMO.
It was a good interview.
I’m glad the two of them are on our side.
Folks, I don’t agree with Rush 100% of the time. None the less, he’s a tremendous asset once policy is set and he can get behind it.
It’s great listening to the both of these men these days.
We are blessed to have this President.
WTF??!!!
It’s the tens of millions who still adore Mrs. Bill keeping the approval number from rising way beyond 50 percent.
I agree. No doubt about it.
Hah! Both men love to brag and crow about their successes.
And why shouldn’t they? Sometimes you have to toot your own horn to be sure it’s been heard.
Rush cant really claim credit, but its fun thinking liberals heads are exploding because they know the same and cant stand both men doing well.
It was so much fun listening to President Trump surprising Rush. Loved it!
Yep! Especially with this Media. They give them no credit at all.
I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate your efforts in posting these Rush Limbaugh articles.
I loved it, too. I have Rush on every morning, but many times I don't get to hear but bits and pieces of the program. Yesterday I just happened to be idling over coffee when the President came on.
What a delightful surprise that was!
What would have made it even cooler, is if the call screener had simply set up the call on Rush's screen as, 'Don from Washington DC.'
I can hear Rush now: 'Next up, Don from Washington DC. What's on your mind, Don?'
Little update so I’ll ping the whole list here:
*My friend M. Joseph Sheppard on Twitter has followed black approval of Trump very closely. In the internals of that poll Trump has 29% black approval and Hispanic approval in the mid-40s.
*Sheppard also keeps up with Survey Monkey, which did a poll with a sample of 1279 blacks broken down by previous registration as 56% D, 6% R, 30% n/a.
Asked which party do you identify with . . . wait for it . . .
10% R, 29%D, and a whopping 50% “no party” (!!!).
Not only are blacks slowly moving to the Rs, but are, in very large numbers, leaving the DemoKKKrat plantation.
*Also, I commented earlier on the AZ Senate Poll thread that Enema having only a 4% lead over McSally at this point is horrible news for Ds. Joe has dropped from mid-20s to just 15% and Ward has picked up much of that, now behind McSally by 8%. If Joe falls to 5%, Ward will get all his voters and beat McSally, then beat Sinema by 2-3 in the general. If Joe hangs on to 6-8%, McSally wins and beats Sinema by a little more, perhaps 3-6 points.
Ooops, sorry, forgot to ping you in the address box.
That ‘Party ID’ is Armageddon disastrous for the Dems. Haha.
Look at the Dead Eyes (my name for Ocasio-Cortez) DemoKKKrat who is gonna win one of the KA House primaries.
Also, R up 1 in OREGON gov race.
