In a country where whites will lose majority status in about a quarter-century, and where research suggests that demographic anxiety is contributing to many of the social fissures polarizing the United States, from immigration policy to welfare reform to the election of President Trump, the story of the coming decades will be, to some degree, the story of how white people adapt to a changing country. It will be the story of people like Heaven Engle and Venson Heim, both of whom were beginning careers on the bottom rung of an industry remade by Latinos, whose population growth is fueling that of America, and were now, in unusually intense circumstances, coming to understand what it means to be outnumbered.
They didnt know the heavy burden of discrimination familiar to members of historically oppressed minority groups, including biased policing and unequal access to jobs and housing. But some of the everyday experiences that have long challenged millions of black, Latino and immigrant Americans the struggle to understand and be understood, feeling unseen, fear of rapid judgments were beginning to challenge them, too.

It's another thing to watch your country change around you when you weren't asked if you wanted your country to change.
I really don’t give a rat’s arse what color the majority is going to be in twenty-five years.
It’s the CULTURE and VALUES of the country that matter to me, and they are going straight down the flusher due to balkanized tribalism.
Exactly. But I decided to not let it bother me-as an old person, I wont be here for the Brave New Third World.

I do, because there is an apparent correlation between race and culture, and what happens to a nation depending upon the race/culture of its majority/government. See South Africa, Detroit, etc. And most South American countries arent very inspiring either. Japan has done quite well, especially for a nation which lost WWII and was under American occupation for some years-oops, those nasty white people may have played a role. And from time immemorial, Japan has remained a homogenous nation of Japanese.
The demographic change to America was intentional.
The Bush Plan for North Mexico (aka USA) continues.
Maybe we dont care that were white. I always just thought I was American, and I have known all of my life that Americans come in different colors and places of origin. But thats the left, constantly trying to divide.
I understand. I only have (grown) stepsons. But they would be the first to agree with me that every generation must create its own world, always with what was handed down to them, but thats true for all past generations also.
Self hating author and SJW.
“the story of how white people adapt to a changing country”
When did we vote to be a minority?
And why should we adapt? They “moved” here.
I guess that’s what Invasion is now called.
And why should we hand over the United States to Mexico?
For a lot of years, it didnt matter too much to me. But the left, and the loudest voices of the minority, insisted that I notice, so I did. Cant say that I saw much to make me desire to live in a world of their making. Im not even talking about historically, even now majority-minority neighborhoods are usually undesirable places to live, hence white flight.
There is such an unhealthy fixation on race from the left. It just not that important.
It is possible, even likely, that if Whites become a minority in this country that the template of white genocide as applied in Zimbabwe and South Africa will be the result, with famine and economic collapse close behind.
Race card played in first sentence. More WaCompost b.s.
What could possibly go wrong? Look at the laces that are majority black and/or brown, look at the places that are majority white. Yeah, but race doesn’t matter? Well, it does, no matter how uncomfortable it makes us to talk about it. Skin color is irrelevant, race is not.
I'm sure this has mammoth socio-political implications.
Of what kind, I can't quite make out.
“didnt know the heavy burden of discrimination familiar to members of historically oppressed minority groups”
“the struggle to understand and be understood, feeling unseen, fear of rapid judgments “
The article is saying “Whitey, you’re gonna feel what it feels like to be a minority, and you deserve it, you racist bastard.”
The left can’t wait for this “quarter-century” to come. In fact, they do everything they can to make it come sooner. Bammy’s “let the fundamental transformation of the country begin” meant “f*ck you, Whitey, we’re replacing you and taking your money too.”
To these people, I say: “F*ck you”.
