Congressional Republicans keep trying to downplay the possibility of a government shutdown this fall, just weeks ahead of midterm elections, even as President Trump returns again and again to that very scenario.
"I don't care what the political ramifications are," tweeted Trump on Tuesday, "our immigration and border security have been a complete and total disaster for decades, and there is no way that the Democrats will allow it to be fixed without a Government Shutdown..."

Trump has repeatedly said this week he would force the government to shut down if Democrats do not agree to significant increases in border spending, including money to build a wall along the southern border with Mexico, along with changes to the legal immigration system.

Hey GOP clowns! Did you not see yesterday’s Tampa Bay rally? President Trump is a winner and has the support of the American people. You Congressional rats and swamp dwellers do not. If you back the President and his support for border security, November 2018 will be a Republican landslide. If you follow your usual cowardly “bipartisan” obstructionism, you will fail. The GOP’s fear of success is pathological.
I don’t use Fed.gov, so I don’t have a problem with it being shut down.
One thing that will be really good for Trump is when the Democrats take over the House and subpoena his taxes and financial records. That will show those stupid RINOs who’s boss.

It’s just possible that a lot of politicians don’t get that most of us know this shutdown thing is all a game. Remember when Obama was shutting down the stuff that would affect people the most? I do.
Trump seems to understand the average person’s mindset way better than a rich guy should.

They must realize that Trump isn’t bluffing - he will veto ANY spending bill that does not include enough money to BUILD THE DAMN WALL.

He has been warning them since the Omnibus bill was passed.
I suggest they include border wall funding and border security funding
or be prepared for a shutdown.

Polls clearly show we are in favor of shutdown.
He communicates to us over the heads of the MSM and we and he laugh at them.
Republicans still gain senate and house seats with a shutdown.
It will prove services are not lost if shutdown.
PDJT will Tweet and expose those liars who try to shut stuff down...i.e., e.g., Obama closed things...PDJT will NOT DO THAT if “shut down”
