WASHINGTON —
The U.S. Senate voted narrowly on Tuesday to confirm Britt Grant to Atlanta’s 11th U.S. Circuit, greenlighting the Georgia Supreme Court justice for a lifetime position on the powerful federal appeals court that frequently takes on hotly contested issues such as gun rights and the death penalty.
The vote largely fell along party lines, with three Democrats joining 49 Republicans to confirm the former Georgia solicitor general. The final tally was 52-46.
GOP boosters, including Georgia U.S. Sens. David Perdue and Johnny Isakson, called Grant an experienced and well-liked conservative jurist.
“Clearly, Justice Grant is immensely qualified to fill this Court of Appeals vacancy, and there is no doubt in my mind that she will do a fantastic job,” Perdue said Monday on the Senate floor. “In fact, our country needs more judges like Justice Grant.”

She doesn't have a ton of court history. She has been a judge on the Georgia SC for the past couple of years but the number one + is that she's only 40. Bet Trump engineered this move to position Grant for RBG's seat when she bails.

Obama appointed 4 to that circuit court. With her appointment its now back to deadlocked 6 to 6. Trump needs to get a few more appointees in there and flip it back to the good guys. The same goes for a few other circuit courts. We’ve got to undo the damage Obama did.
Wow, time sure does fly. She was a political appointee administrator in the W. Bush administration and didn’t attend Law School until 2004/5. I know nothing about her judicial temperament but I’m glad she’s not your traditional Harvard/Yale Silver Spoon judge.

It would not surprise me one stinking bit that they had a burning of both documents on the steps of the Supreme Court the day they threw out both documents as not needed under the communist rule. They will write a new Constitution, with their full communist rules. There will be no citizens rights in that piece of toilet paper. It will be a paper of total rule by the few, just as the Soviet Union was.
The people were dirt poor and starved and froze to death while the elite had nice warm homes with nice clothes and plenty of food. Stalin starved millions of "we peasants" while he and his gang of criminals had plenty of everything. He had several dachas in the country side to enjoy while the people lived in mud huts. Yup, that is what the leftist want. They want total control. One day and I think very soon, they will have it. But that leader will rule the world!!! They call him "the Antichrist." He will go into the newly rebuilt Temple in Jerusalem and declare himself to be God, the promised Messiah. Flake and McCain didn’t vote at all - otherwise the Republican support was unanimous.
Flake had placed a hold on her confirmation which ticked off the two Georgia Senators so he dropped the hold but apparently decided to pout in his office rather than vote.
