Love Without Limits
August 1, 2018
The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.
Psalm 145:9
A wise friend advised me to avoid using the words you always or you never in an argumentespecially with my family. How easy it is to criticize others around us and to feel unloving toward those we love. But there is never any variation in Gods enduring love for us all.
Psalm 145 overflows with the word all. The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made (v. 9). The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does. The Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down (vv. 1314). The Lord watches over all who love him (v. 20).
A dozen times in this psalm we are reminded that Gods love is without limit and favoritism. And the New Testament reveals that the greatest expression of it is seen in Jesus Christ: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16).
Psalm 145 declares that the Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them (vv. 1819).
Gods love for us always endures, and it never fails!
Father in heaven, we are awed by Your love for us that never changes, never fails, and never ends. We praise You for demonstrating Your limitless love for us through Jesus our Savior and Lord.
There is never any variation in Gods enduring love for us all.
The book of Psalms, also referred to as the Hebrew Hymnbook, is a collection of 150 songs that were sung by Gods people at various times as part of their worship. Psalm 145 is the last psalm in the final collection of songs penned by David (Psalms 138145). David proclaims God as the Sovereign King (vv. 13, 1013), exalting His glorious majesty (v. 5) and generous benevolence (v. 7) to all His creation. Gods greatness and goodness is manifested in His mighty acts, wonderful and awesome works, and great deeds (vv. 46).
How have you experienced Gods enduring love?

The Meme of my life?
In a word, it could be “Waiting”.
Picture the TV intro to the soap opera “Days of Our Lives”.
That big hourglass on a black and white screen with the fine white sand always sifting away. Always in the process of emptying out.
Then you hear late actor Edward Macdonald Carey, who played Dr. Horton on that show.
“Dr. Horton” then says; “Like the sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of Our Lives!”. This is followed by a lilting flute solo and and later strings.
The theme for Days of Our Lives was written by
Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart with a Charles Albertine.
Boyce and Hart’s biggest hit was “I Wonder What She’s Doing Tonight?”

Hi Luv. I can’t get the link to work on my tablet. So my life as a movie must be one of those movies where everything goes wrong like “The Out of Towners.” I don’t like those movies because they make me frustrated.
Not sure what that says about my life.

Hi Luv. Sez here this week that I need to echo President Reagan’s words to the hospital staff from the day he was shot “I hope you’re all Republicans.” Black comedy indeed.

Good Lord! First, NONE of those movies!
Second, I'm probably already insane and just don't know it.
Third, even though my life has had some dark moments, it wasn't all bad and
others may have had it worse than me.
Other than that, GOOD MORNING CANTEENERS!
and Our AWESOME Military,
And our AWESOME Allies.
Sorry for the short post but I slept late and need to get busy.
Have a blessed Wednesday.
Oh, and thank God for the miracle in Mexico.
