Trump: ‘Globalist Koch brothers’ have become a ‘total joke in real Republican circles'

President Trump ripped the Koch brothers one day after the political network formed by the billionaire conservative businessmen said it would not support a Republican Senate candidate in North Dakota

“The globalist Koch Brothers, who have become a total joke in real Republican circles, are against Strong Borders and Powerful Trade,” Trump said in a series of tweets early Tuesday.

“I never sought their support because I don’t need their money or bad ideas. They love my Tax & Regulation Cuts, Judicial picks & more. I made them richer. Their network is highly overrated, I have beaten them at every turn,” he added.

“They want to protect their companies outside the U.S. from being taxed, I’m for America First & the American Worker - a puppet for no one. Two nice guys with bad ideas. Make America Great Again!”

Americans for Prosperity president Tim Phillips announced at a donor summit on Monday in Colorado Springs, Colo. that the network would not support Rep. Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.) in his bid to unseat incumbent Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D-N.D.).

Phillips cited Cramer’s support for the Export Import Bank, the farm bill and the $1.3 trillion spending package for the decision.

“He’s inconsistent across the board on these issues,” Phillips said. “We can’t support him at this time and we’ve met with his team, explained this and lobbied them on this.”

Heitkamp is seen as one of the most vulnerable Senate Democrats up for reelection. Trump carried North Dakota by more than 30 points.

The Koch network is backing GOP Senate candidates in Wisconsin, Missouri, Tennessee and Florida.

Charles Koch said on Sunday that his network would be more aggressive in going after Republicans who have not adhered to fiscally conservative principles.

“I regret some of the [lawmakers] we have supported,” Koch told a small group of reporters in a rare interview. "We’re gonna more directly deal with that and hold people accountable."

Koch also said he’s hopeful his network can support more Democrats going forward.

Doesn’t seem to be a lot of difference between this pair and George Soros.

Right on, Mr. President!

This tweet is going to blow some leftist minds, btw — the ones who think we have the same relationship with our shadowy billionaires as they do with theirs.

Now the left is going to love the Koch brothers. Remember when they were the worst people in the world? Watch people like TYT turn on a dime. Truth is Trump is the President the left has wanted but they hate him because he ran for the wrong team. Not taking big donnors’ money, not being controlled by lobbyist; all things leftist have been saying they wanted for years if not longer. He calls out the pharmaceutical companies, massive tariffs on China and totally against cheap labor. Calls out big donors. Trump is everything the left side they wanted and maybe that’s why they hate him so much when it comes right down to it.

Sanders thanks Koch brothers for accidentally making argument for medicare for all

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) thanked the Koch brothers on Tuesday for "accidentally making the case for Medicare for All" in a new analysis on the cost of single-payer healthcare.

Sanders made the comments in a video he posted to Twitter after a study published by Charles Blahous at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University — a center subsidized by the billionaire conservative activists Charles and David Koch.

"Let me thank the Koch brothers, of all people, for sponsoring a study that shows that Medicare for All would save the American people $2 trillion over a 10-year period," Sanders said.

Good! The Koch brothers are globalists that he can get away with attacking. This is a good strategy with no downside. These globalists that claim to be conservative are just liberals who want lower taxes.

Something’s weird here. These have little to do with open borders, it has more to do with following the Republican leadership in the House. One would think that the Cooks would be ok with those policies, considering how RINO they are.

Is it perhaps because Cramer wants secure borders or something (I don’t know either way on the issue with him)?

_______________

Oh, they are going to buy candidates directly. I thought that was illegal.

Well, for $10 billion, they can have my vote. That’s my price. ;-)

The Koch brothers invested heavily in foreign companies, so they campaign for foreigners over Americans.

Big business globalists want government “single payer” health care just as much as the left, but perhaps for different reasons. They don’t want to carry the burden of paying for their employees’ health insurance.

Bush League Republicans think they can wait out a four year term and get back to business as usual, importing cheap labor and selling out the citizens.

We have been waiting 32 years since we were promised border security for the 1986 amnesty, the illegal aliens got the amnesty, we never got the border security.

BOTH parties have been encouraging the illegal alien inundation with a bipartisan policy of non-enforcement of laws and borders.

We are 30 years and 30 million people into the Bush Plan for North Mexico.
We have a very short window to reverse it.

Bush League Republicans MUST become extinct before the Republic does.

Doesn’t seem to be a lot of difference between this pair and George Soros.

Koch Brothers-style "libertarianism" is basically George Soros' vision of the world minus the welfare state. Both Soros and the Kochs want sovereign nation-states to become a thing of the past.
