Giuliani says Trump team leaning towards ignoring Mueller questions

President Trump's legal team is becoming more and more convinced it should ignore questions by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani told Fox News' "Hannity" on Monday night, saying it's "highly unlikely" the Trump team will meet again with prosecutors.

Giuliani's comments underscored the newly combative tenor of Trump's camp towards Mueller ahead of the trial of former Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort, set to start Tuesday in a Virginia federal court.

"Given the revelations of the last three or four weeks, we've gone further away from the idea of answering any questions from them," Giuliani told Sean Hannity. "We don't think they have a legitimate investigation.”

Giuliani, who previously claimed Mueller's team may have been trying to "frame" Trump, also laughed off a New York Times report that prosecutors were looking at Trump's tweets to build an obstruction-of-justice case against the president.

"I believe we're coming towards the end," Giuliani said of the Mueller probe. "And now they're looking at his tweets. Obstruction of justice by tweet. I prosecuted obstruction of justice -- if they're going to do obstruction of justice by tweet, to impeach a president, God bless us."

After following the link and reading the article, it appears that Giuliani is doing alright now. His arguments were good.

There is no way Trump should ever submit to questions by Mueller.Mueller is the sole judge and jury. It is HE who decides who he believes and who will be charged with perjury. You have Trump say one thing and Comey -Mueller’s buddy -say another. No mystery who Mueller will “believe”

I agree. Not only that, we have been told continuously that Trump was not a target. But Comey said....we can't put that out to the media because it may happen (in my own words). Comey says it again and again in his memos.

Go back and read Comey's (once classified) memos.

I believe with everything in my gut that Comey (and Clapper) were setting up the President otherwise the Steele Dossier would have been made known to the President BEFORE the election. He had a right to know as soon as the dossier was known.

“A bit tired of Giuliani running his mouth. A bit like Gingrich.”

Using the rat playbook. Throw so many variables out there that the rats get overwhelmed. If it is actually their strategy, I like it.

I’d turn the interview around and ask Mueller’s phony leftist investigators questions about their criminal actions!!!

Mueller and the DNC are failing.
Nixon during Watergate, which is what they are trying to rekindle, was drowning. The country and his base lost all hope. Here with the relentless pounding of the media, with 97% of articles are negative, they cannot lay a glove on his popularity. Trump walks in a protected light, and the more technical and convoluted the crimes Mueller accuses, the more Trumps base screams BS.

Rudy is a very substantial flank attack.

He attracts the divisions necessary to destroy the President and renders the left’s primary attack less effective

Just speculating (that’s all any of this Russia crap has been)... but to take this tack, they must be seeing something in their polls that indicates trends are in the president’s favor...in general and as to the midterms. Just IMHO (LOL)... #19thMediaNervousMeltdownMAGA

There is absolutely nothing to be gained by answering Mueller’s questions, or sitting down for an interview with him. Mueller needs President Trump to sit down with him a lot more than Trump needs Mueller. Stay on offense.

There is nothing to be gained by sitting down with Mueller unless compelled to.

Rudy needs to limit his interviews and Trump should not be allowed near Mulehead. If you got something lets see it Mr. “Honorable man” Mulehead. Otherwise expect an ENRON type fiasco from this crook.

Mueller has sealed his legacy as a anti-American buffoon. Clearly this circus is hurting the President in that it provides the media with more fake anti-Trump news to distract from the positive improvements, Mueller owns it.
