Message to Michael Reagan: Lighten up, Francis.
Perhaps no one was watching?
First I’ve heard of it.
Also 38 yrs ago is a long time...finding anyone in rino congress to defend would be hard.
Ronald Reagan was a great man not known to be a womanizer.
I have not heard about this demented Baptist minister until now. I dont use Twitter, so there is nothing I would broadcast outside of here on Free Republic or with my friends.
Michael, Im with you on your defense of your incredible father, but the lack of comments may just mean the people didnt hear this wacko say anything.
They were both democrats once too. Go ballistic Michael.
Michael, you’re proof certain that a good father can’t always be blamed for his idiot child/ren.
President Trump is the only recent President who could hold a candle to President Reagan. Comparing the two is not a bad thing... and I doubt that Pastor Jeffress meant any disrespect. The two were men from different times. At the time President Reagan got a divorce it was considered at least as shameful as what people consider men who have had affairs these days.
Thank you Michael for spreading this trash far and wide. /s
I had not heard of this, and likely never would have, if not for you.
Wouldn’t it have been far better for you to post a glowing description of your father focusing on his fidelity, and taking a pass on pointing to an instance of some blithering idiot saying he had been involved in infidelity?
Michael, sometimes you have terrible judgement.
Mikey, GFY.
Michael, President Trump is doing great and is what the country needs now.
You should have said, “My father was always respectful of women and in regards to President Trump, I understand and am persuaded to believe he is doing great things for the people of this country”.
Your actual statement shows you still have an anti-Trump perspective. You really should adapt to the changing times. You would be more relevant in doing so.
Gee Michael, hate Trump much?
If Reagan were actually a womanizer, it would have been all over the news media. That being said, young Reagan needs to cut us some slack. If we had the media resources of the left, we would have been more able to erupt over this. Lacking their huge media presence, we can’t throw a fit over every piece of nonsense.
While I agree, Jeffries’ use of RR, was off-base, Michael Reagan, whom I’ve agreed with about many things in the past, is just using this faux pas, as an excuse to bash Trump. If he had just criticized Jeffries for making a spurious remark about his father, fine. But he, instead, used it as an opportunity to denigrate Trump, which he unfortunately, is all too happy to do.
I will always cherish your father Michael but you lose me when you start bashing my current president. The folks who love your father also love President Trump so how do you expect support by bashing the man behind MAGA.
RR was a truly great pres-but he was not a saint-my mom was the biggest RR fan ever-she told me she’d been gaga over him since he was an actor, and she was always talking about him when he was governor of Cali. She’d also kept up with all the gossip about her hero, too-when he became pres, she said she was so glad he was done screwing around when he got to the WH, unlike JFK and LBJ. It is supposedly common knowledge that he had many affairs with actresses as a married man, and that he was a married man when he began an affair with Nancy and she was his mistress until he was divorced.
Big f’ing deal-it was Hollywood-and the same and worse still goes on there today.
It was Bill Clinton who brought womanizing back to the WH after quite a few years without it-at least Pres Trump isn’t showing any inclination to follow Clinton’s example...
Hey Mikey...NOBODY CARES!
But, you can rise above us all and go do the “moral” thing by supporting baby killer supporting HIllary, eh? Knock yourself out. Uniparty Loser.
Geezers Mike nobody commented because nobody heard it
I cannot see any constructive value in his comments about Ronald Reagan. Michael is right in his reaction. But he is also using this to display his anti-Trump feelings.
- Ronald Reagan was a man. He was not (not known as, at least) a womanizer. He cannot now defend himself from the charge, and to lay it today strikes me as a canard. A pastor peddling such should be ashamed. FULL STOP.
- Donald Trump ran the table in the primaries and defeated an odds-on favorite, the abominable Hillary Clinton, in the general election. Hillary would have continued the Obama policy of persecuting Christians, and would have turned the courts - including SCOTUS - against Christians and Christianity. Donald Trump has, and intends to, prevent that.
- Donald Trumps history pretty much precludes his consideration by any legitimate Christian church for any position of leadership it its affairs. We know that, and we knew that before the election. If given a choice of Ronald Reagan or Donald Trump as Head of State, it would be Ronald Reagan hands down. Donald Trump, profiting from Reagans example (and, it has to be said, from some of Reagans mistakes) is excelling as Head of Government.
The conclusion of the matter is that Ronald Reagan is not an issue now, any more than Franklin Roosevelt or any earlier POTUS. Donald Trump is. And we cant spare the man; he fights.
Whatever, you whiny lil....
You need a tissue and a hug?
Look, Mikey - if you don't get by now that the Lefties are trying to run the country with 5 Lefties on the Supreme Court being fed Lefty wish lists by the 500-odd Lefty Article III Federal judge-presidents, you need to sit down and shut up.
NOW, political naif.
We'll change your soggy diapers AFTER President Trump and the Deplorables curb-stomp the Lefties.
