Sean Spicer book event canceled 'due to political climate'

Known for his fierce battles with establishment media during his tenure as President Trump’s press secretary, Sean Spicer has returned to the front lines in a tour to promote his new book, and the conflict only seems to have moved to new venues.

A popular East Coast warehouse retailer has canceled an event this Saturday, citing “the political climate,” and a heckler stood up at a bookstore event in Manhattan and shouted: “Hey Sean! You’re a real piece of garbage!”

As the heckler was being escorted out, Spicer could be heard likening the incident to his daily briefing days at the White House.

Meanwhile, Regnery, the publisher of Spicer’s book, “The Briefing: Politics, The Press, and The President,” said it got word last Friday that a BJ’s Wholesale outlet in Seekonk, Massachusetts, canceled a scheduled event with Spicer “due to the political climate,” apparently after receiving criticism.

“Of course, we were very disappointed, but also surprised since we have had such a terrific response to all of the other events we have scheduled around the country,” Regnery said in a statement.

Ah yes. The tolerant left. So did "BJ's" get a threat or what. For those unfamiliar, BJ's is like Sams Club or Costco. I wonder if any of the folks wanting to voice objection have read the book. Probably not. They, in their little "NOH8" world, are full of just that. I would say they're idiots but that would be giving them too much credit.

Isn't BJ's a membership store? Which should mean they would not have to let protestors/troublemakers in?

They are really unimaginative. Releasing a couple dozen white mice or a few bats at a book signing would be much more entertaining.

Massachusetts isn't "the rest of the country" - they elect losers like Kennedy and Warren.

Because there are a LOT of irresponsible citizens out there. Saw a post yestereday where an individual we are acquainted with changed their screen pic to one that says “Disarm Hate” with a rainbow background. Earlier the same individual had posted something about some bike share bikes here in town supposedly from the bike share customer service stating that “If you see a white nationalist riding our bikes, beat the crap out of them and take the bike away!” Still trying to figure out how they’ll determine the psych make up of someone riding one of their bikes. But, “NOH8”. Fidiots!

This is why we should have shut down the effort to silence Conservatives on university campuses. It’s now spreading everywhere.
